Gabby is a 10-year old girl and feisty mechanic and one of the main characters of Blaze and the Monster Machines. She is the 10-year old human mechanic in Axle City who runs the Axle City Garage. She's really smart and good with all types of tools, and can fix anything. She always carries her toolbox with her in case of a fix, and knows just the right ones to use. She often joins Blaze for his adventures. In Season 3, Gabby becomes the driver for Watts, the newest member of the Monster Machines.
Personality
Most of the time, Gabby is shown to be gutsy, determined and hard-working. She always has the right tools to fix the trucks in need, and is grateful to help them. She never gives up and is always there to finish the job.
Appearance
Gabby has light skin, purple hair in a ponytail, and blue eyes.She wears a pair of light blue overalls with a gear symbol in the middle, which covers a long-sleeved white shirt. Her shoulders, elbows and knees have black pads with blue stripes covering them, and wears a pair of white gloves and black boots outlined in the same blue as her overalls. She also has a black belt with two packs attached to it, and a silver belt buckle with her gear symbol in the middle. When riding with Blaze or her ATV, Gabby switches to a racing suit which consists of a white and blue zip-up jacket and blue pants. Her boots and gloves are the same, but her pants now tuck into her boots. She also wears a motorcycling helmet with a black stripe and two blue stripes outlining such, and has a pair of goggles. She keeps the same pads from her regular outfit. When riding with Watts, she wears the same suit as described above, but has pink accents instead of blue.
Trivia
- So far, Gabby has three different outfits, her work uniform which she wears mostly, her tracksuit when she rides with Blaze or on her motorbike, and a pink version of said suit when riding Watts.
- Gabby is a bit similar to Abby Hatcher. Gabby and Abby's names both rhyme, and they both have purple hair. Hence, their purple hair are both in ponytails.
- AJ and Gabby are the only humans in the whole show.
- She and Watts are the only characters who haven't been to VelocityVille yet.
- Gabby is the second character to become a driver after AJ.
- Since Watts' introduction, Gabby hasn't used her ATV.
- Gabby has worn her tracksuit more often since the show’s animation was updated.
- Gabby is the first character other than Blaze and AJ to speak to the viewer.
Designs
- During most of Season 1, Gabby’s scleras were shown as pale blue, a tradition in art when someone is standing in a dark enclosure. Later episodes show them to be the usual white, though they sometimes show up as grey after her redesign.
- In a few episodes after the mid-Season 3 animation change (with the exception of Robot Power), Gabby had black lines under her eyes, making her appear less animesque. From Robots in Space and onward, the black lines were removed.
- Redesign from S3E11 onward:
- The ends of her hair became sharp.
- Hair is more detailed and ponytail is scruffier.
- Arm and knee pads are more detailed and lighter in color on both her outfits.
- Overall buttons became silver.
- She gained a buckle on her belt.
- The outlining around the wristpads of her tracksuit became lighter.
- Her skin is slightly paler.
- Her eyelashes became slightly smaller and thinner at the line.
