Gabumon is one of the main Digimon protagonists of reboot anime, Digimon Adventure:. Gabumon can evolve to his Champion form Garurumon, Ultimate form WereGarurumon and two Mega forms; MetalGarurumon and CresGarurumon.
Like his original counterpart, he is voiced by Mayumi Yamaguchi in Japanese version and Dave B. Mitchell in English version.

When Taichi and others are rescued by Yamato and his partner Gabumon, Agumon happily to see Gabumon again.
It is reveals that there is a Gorillamon sniping at them from atop a fortress. Certain that the others will only hinder him, Yamato leaves them behind and launches an attack on the fortress alone until a desperate Joe calls for surrender, but fails.
After all other enemies are defeated, Yamato apologizes to the others for not relying on them, and while exploring the fortress, the group finds a stone tablet which Taichi affirms to contain information regarding the Holy Digimon.
During Greymon & Ogremon fight, a pack of Coredramon arrive to attack the other children, until Koshiro and Kabuterimon arrive to reunite with the others and Ogremon disperses them personally, wanting a fair fight. The escape plan fails when the children's advance is cut short by a lake of miasma that blocks their way just as Taichi and Greymon's fight against MetalTyrannomon brings the combatants to their location.
Separated from the others, he, Yamato, Biyomon, Gomaon, Joe and Sora are ambushed at the desert by some SandYanmamon when a SkullScorpiomon appears and attacks both sides. The three escape to a cave, taking some Kyaromon they rescued to Neamon, who is leading a group of refugees in search for Leomon, who is leading the fight against the Digimon possessed by the miasma. Yamato affirms that the children already have their own task at hand and refuses to offer help, but Joe and Sora decide to assist them.
He and others continue their journey with Birdramon flying them over a jungle when they encounter a swarm of Funbeemon fleeing from an army of Waspmon being led by the fortress-like CannonBeemon before being attacked themselves. In the process, Sora and Yamato learns from an escaped Funbeemon that the Waspmon are capturing them to serve as CannonBeemon's army while Joe and Gomamon, separated from the others, gets captured. Sora and Yamato allowed themselves to be captured and brought inside CannonBeemon to rescue Joe and Gomamon, but the children are forced to escape before they could free the rest of the Funbeemon.
Gabumon and other arrive at an amusement park Mon-Mon Park which causes the two brothers to recall having gone to one when they were younger with their parents. They have fun until they come across a Xiaomon who reveals the park is dangerous. That is when the park guide Opossummon reveals his true colors and Gabumon digivolve to Garurumon.
