Gamora Zen-Whoberi is a major character in the 2021 sci-fi adventure video game Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy. She is the adopted daughter of Thanos who previously served as a member of his army. After betraying him and spending some time with the Galactic resistence, she now acts as a member of the heroes-for-hire team known as the Guardians of the Galaxy.

She was voiced by Kimberly-Sue Murray.

Appearence[]

Gamora is a tall and slender Zen-Whoberi. She has green skin with black markings around her eyes. She has short black hair with red tips. For her attire, Gamora has a black tactical suit with white armor on it.

Personality[]

Due to her traumatic past, Gamora is often one of the more serious guardians. She is the most foucused on the missions and does not handle failure well. She is very cold and enigmatic, often keeping many things a secret. She is also known to be angry and wrathful. Like the other guardians, she possesses a sense of humor and often cracks jokes with the other team. Despite her stoicness, she is a sympathetic individual, and she empathizes with Peter's own tragic past.

Past[]

When she was a child, Gamora's home planet of Zen-Whoberi was decimated by the warlord Thanos. Thanos then kidnapped Gammora and decided to raise her to be an assassin. It is durring this time where Gamora met Nebula, another kidnapped child from a planet Thanos attacked. Gamora and Nebula grew very close and considered eachother sisters.

Shortly after, Thanos gave Gamora and Nebula dolls from Xandar, much to their confusion. Gamora lost her doll and began to cry. Nebula, who previosuly wanted to take Gamora's doll, was angry, and the two began to fight. Thanos then sadisticly laughed and revealed that this was a mind game designed to show the two not to get attached to anything. He then thre Nebula's doll in the incinerator.

Durring the Galactic War, Thanos had Gamora and Nebula search for the location of the Resistence. When Gamora managed to find the location of the base, and went to report back to Thanos. When Gamora returned to Thanos, she saw him having a conversation with Lady Death. Realizing that Thanos' was only waging this war for his own selfish benefit, Gamora switched sides and joined the Resistance.

Towards the end of the war, Gamora acconpained Korr-El on a stealth mission to assassinate the Chitauri Queen. However, Gamora decided to kidnap the queen rahter than kill her, since the Chitauria Queen was only an infant. Despite not killing anyone on the mission, Gamora gained the title "The Deadliest Woman in the Galaxy."

Since Thanos raised her to be a living weapon, Gamora was unsure of what to do with herself after the war was over. Thus, Gamora decided to become a hired assassin. Durring her time as an assassin, Gamora was nearly killed by Nebula. Gamora realised that Nebula would never stop, and, with a heavy heart, killed her.

Gamora was in a dark place after killing Nebula. One of the only bright spots in her life was her freindship with Mantis, who was in the area when Gamora killed Nebula. Mantis took Gamora to Lamentis, where the Preists of Pama helped Gamora overcome her greif. Durring her time on Lamentis, the preists had Gamora work with a young boy named Akan.

After overcoming the death of Nebula, Gamora was told by Mantis that she should join a team. Gamora followed her freinds advice and joined the recently formed Guardians of the Galaxy. Since joining, Gamora has become one of the team's most valuble and trusted members.
