Gatomon is the main Digimon protagonist of reboot anime, Digimon Adventure:. Gatomon can Digivolve to her Ultimate form, Angewomon and Mega form, Ophanimon. She was SkullKnightmon before reverts back to her true form.

She is voiced by Mie Sonozaki in the Japanese version.

Appearance

She resembles a cute white cat with green paw-like gloves. She wears a Holy Ring on her tail and has blue eyes.

Personality

Unlike her original personality in the original Digimon Adventure, she acts more like a knight to protect Kari, as demonstrated when she is able to defeat several Mantaraymon with her Lightning Paw attack, and is also powered up by Kari to defeat an Ultimate level Digimon like Scorpiomon with the combined help of MetalGreymon, Pegasusmon, and Garurumon.

History

After absorbed inside AxeKnightmon, Hikari reaches the source of the voice that was always calling for her and meets Gatomon. Taichi and WarGreymon break into AxeKnightmon, rescuing Hikari and Gatomon while destroying AxeKnightmon.

She reveals to Hikari that she feels uneasy with the idea of digivolve since she was transformed into SkullKnightmon by Millenniumon's influence, fearing that she will lose herself again. After MarineDevimon kidnaps Hikari, Gatomon attempts to rescue her partner, but is corrupted by the fragment of Millenniumon inside the enemy and turns against Greymon, until Hikari appears to calm her down and assure that she will always be by her side. Encouraged by Hikari's words, Gatomon regains her courage and digivolve into Angewomon.

Unlike her original counterpart, Yuka Tokumitsu did not her for reboot of Digimon Adventure.
It was decided that Gatomon would be transformed into a Dark Digimon, they decided to use Dark Knightmon since Digimon Xros Wars Figure Series 07: SkullKnightmon & Deadly Axemon Set came with a Tailmon DigiMemory.
