“ | Margaret is, and always will be, a mystery. Nothing happened in her life to justify the way she is. Some people aren't looking for anything logical; they can't be bought, reasoned, or negotiated with. Sometimes man just wants to watch the world burn. | „ |
~ Mr. Robinson in "The Wicked." |
Mr. Gaylord Robinson is a supporting character in the The Amazing World of Gumball. He is the elderly grumpy neighbor of the Watterson Family.
He was voiced by Rupert Degas in Seasons 1-2, and then he is voiced by Stefan Ashton Frank in "The Tag" onwards.
Appearance[]
Mr. Robinson is an anthropomorphic puppet. His body is shaped like a slightly rounded cylinder, he has a gray-blue fuzz, except for his protruding, grayish-pink nose. Mr. Robinson wears a navy blazer, a short red striped tie, a white shirt underneath, a pair of brown pants, and plaid slippers. He has large, rectangular, thick-rimmed glasses that help him see, because of his tiny eyes, and has a unibrow.
Personality[]
Mr. Robinson is a grumpy and short-tempered personality, all he also cares about is, money, and arguing. He despises the Watterson family, especially Gumball and Darwin, who tried multiple ways to help him. He calls the Watterson family tacky and cheap because he views himself and his property as better than the Wattersons.
Mr. Robinson has an unexpectedly short temper and can fly into a rage if pushed too far. Despite his anger, he is not intimidated by his anger even though he marries Mrs. Robinson where he argues with his wife. His attitude changes a bit in "The Poltergeist."
On the inside, however, he is energetic. He has soft and good terms with Gumball and Darwin, even though he despises them. In "The Heart," he starts to feel emotionally empty when they both cut ties with him.
