Gemma, also known as Little Miss Forge (Japanese 加工屋の娘), is a smithy located in Harth.
Biography[]

Although nothing is known about her early years, she was taken in by the Troverians in the village of Harth. She learned how to make a variety of equipment in ways that are difficult to explain during her time in Harth. Even Little Miss Forge is aware of the potential effects of every known element on a human. In order to help the tribe build a ship known as the Arluq, a caravaneer and caravan once visited her town. Unfortunately, until an unidentified hunter killed it, the web of Nerscylla impeded the flow of lava needed to build such a ship. She made the decision to leave her community and join their team after this caravan drastically changed it. Later, she is spotted touring the Forbidden Lands with an expedition crew.
Monster Hunter Wilds[]
Gemma is an adventurous and inquisitive individual who is constantly willing to learn new technologies and mechanics. She is not only proficient but also excited about forging and improving any equipment you require, whether it is for your Palico or yourself, as your smithy. She first appears when you go to the Plains Base Camp, and she stays with you and the other members of the Avis Unit while you set up new base camps at the Oilwell Basin, Iceshard Cliffs, Ruins of Wyveria, Suja, Peaks of Accord, and Scarlet Forest.
You come upon a Hirabami during the Main Mission "Hopes of Home," and you hide to camp and rest. You can talk to Gemma and the other members of your unit here. She uses a fictitious story of a little girl who feels compelled to handle every issue by herself to tell a personal and thought-provoking tale. Your character flips the question back on Gemma when she asks how you would counsel this child, implying that she is concerned about this girl. Gemma goes on to talk about her own early years and admits that she had similar feelings at one point. She had a great deal of gratitude for the people who took her in and helped her when she left home. She came to understand as she grew older that, like kids, adults sometimes experience confusion. She received encouragement from the villagers when she finally left their hamlet, and she carried that support with her. Thinking back on what they said, she concludes that they were asking her, "It's your turn now. What do you choose to protect?"
