George Stacy is a minor character in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse and a supporting character in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and will return in Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. George was a police officer and dedicated his life to protecting his city from threats. He is the father of Gwen Stacy. For a long time he believed that Spider-Woman was a threat to the city for supposedly killing the best friend of his daughter but upon realizing that Spider-Woman was his own daughter and had not committed the crime, George retired from the force in order to spend more time with his daughter.

He is voiced by Shea Whigham, who also portrayed Earl Cole in Kong: Skull Island.

Personality[]

George is a man who plays things by the book. Losing his wife Helen early in the life of his young daughter, George took it upon himself to raise Gwen to the best degree he could and would instil the values of justice in his child. George always tried to be there for his daughter even when he didn't understand what she was going through, always ready to give her a hug if necessary.

While initially despising Spider-Woman as a murderer for killing Peter, upon realizing that it was his own daughter who was the vigilante George was broken. At first he tried to arrest his daughter but would later regret it after his daughter vented out all of her problems to him and told the truth. Realizing that his daughter was more important than being an officer, he retired from the force.
