Geppetto, is a supporting character on Once Upon a Time. He is the father of Pinocchio, woodcarver, friend of Snow & Charming, and a victim of the Evil Queen's curse. His cursed name is Marco.
He is portrayed by Tony Amendola.
History[]
Before First Curse[]
Years ago, when Geppetto was a small boy, his parents got turned into puppets by Jiminy, caused by his evil parents. Jiminy feeling very guilty, when it wasn't really his fault, wished to make amends and be something better than a man. A conscience of wisdom, and to guide Geppetto through and through. The Blue Fairy granted his wish by turning him into a top hatted cricket. Since then, Geppetto and Jiminy became good friends as well as Jiminy is his mentor.
Years later, Geppetto and Pinocchio (while still a puppet) were escaping Monstro the Whale on a raft, but the whale's splashing caused them to crash. Luckily, they were washed ashore, but Pinocchio died. But since he proved himself brave, truthful and unselfish, the Blue Fairy changed him into a real boy, making Geppetto's wish come true. It was the happiest day of his life.
He and Pinocchio made an enchanted wardrobe for Emma to travel in after Regina threatened to cast a curse.
After First Curse[]
Geppetto has put up pictures of his missing boy when the town is in a panic after the attack of the wraith, summoned by the dark one to deal with Regina for what she did to Belle. Henry later on, informed him of the whereabouts of Pinocchio, who went by the name of August. Geppetto, enters August's appartment, but he is gone.
After Jiminy was presumed murdered by Regina (who was really Cora impersonated her and framed her), Geppetto was just as sad as Henry, losing his old friend after all the years they've been through together. But fortunately, Jiminy was not dead, and was held prisoner in the invisible Jolly Roger by Cora and Hook.
A few days later, Snow came to alert Emma that she found August, who is completely wooden and Geppetto, who was right next to Emma, heard the news and joins the women in search of his son.
Second Curse[]
While Emma and David appear to be struggling in building a baby cradle, Geppetto was mentioned by Snow that she wishes to call him and built the cradle, pointing that he is really good at this. And both father and daughter objected.
