Ghislaine Dedoldia is a major supporting character in the fantasy adventurer light novel, manga, and anime series, Mushoku Tensei. She is a member of the Dedoldia Tribe, but ran away from his relatives at a young age and met Gal Farion who trained her to become a warrior. Afterwards, she met Paul Greyrat and joined his adventurer party, the Fangs of the Black Wolf. Now a notable earner of the Sword King title, she is tasked by Paul to take care of his son, Rudeus Greyrat along with his cousin, Eris Greyrat while also working as Rudeus’ student, as a result of her desire to start studying as someone who often falls for scams. After the impacting Teleportation Incident that occured in Fittoa Region out of nowhere, she is determined to avenge Eris' grandfather, Sauros Boreas Greyrat, who was falsely accused and later executed of being involved in the Teleportation Incident. She was extremely loyal to Sauros, as a result of having been rescued by him after she was in the verge of death.
She is voiced by Megumi Toyoguchi in Japanese and by Rachel Robinson in English.
Appearance[]
As a member of the Beast Race, Ghislaine has animal features, featuring a long grey-colored tail with a golden ring orned at the end and furry ears. She has long messy hair of the same colors, brown eyes, a fairly large scar on her belly button, and pale brown-colored skin. Ghislaine is in a very revealing outfit for the upper part. Her abdomen and breasts are mostly exposed while being covered by two red bands covering them. She wears a dark brown fur jacket, kaki-colored pants, and pair of sandales.
Personality[]
Ghislaine preferes to remain stern majority of the times, resulting in an emotioneless expression, which gives others uncomfortable vibes. However, deep inside Ghislaine actually possess this very emotion impacted nature and can be easily angered. In such case can be seen when Rudeus read Paul’s message, it referred her as a Musclebrain, infuriating her.
To Eris, she acts like an elder sister figure and harbors high pride to serve Eris’ grandfather, Sauros and is determined to avenge him after learning his execution from Rudeus. Despite possessing outmatched swordsmanship and physical prowess, Ghislaine has her weak points that are often being exploited by others who trick her into falling into their scams, which involves almost anything in math, money, or requires her to read, traits that she is incapable. This lead her to request Rudeus to be her teacher to satisfy her desire for knowledge.
As a child, Ghislaine was much more of a trouble maker and especially dimwitted. She could not understand the logic to create peace among her siblings. Instead, she spend times arguing with the other beast tribe members and using violences, resulting her to eventually runaway from home. However, when Gal met her, he saw the potential and brutal nature she possessed to be trained and become a menacing warrior.
Abilities[]
Ghislaine is notably known for her unatural physical abilities, the complete opposite of her lack of intellectual capabilities. Gal Farion the man who trained Ghislaine, has already saw the potential she possesed that could allow her to become as strong as the fighter she is feared as of today.
- Immense Agility, Speed: Ghislaine is capable of moving at a level of speed so terrifyingly fast that barely any individuals in the series are able to see. She can dash several meters at the speed of sound while breaching the ground made of stone and leaving a powerful shockwave behind her as she kills beheads her targets.
- Magic Power Eyes: The left eye she hides under an eyepatch is actually a magic-powered demon eye that is glowing geen color. When needed, she will remove her eyepatch in order to see mana on sight.
