Biography[]
Rayman 2: The Great Escape[]
When Robo-Pirates invaded the Glade of Dreams and imprisoned Rayman aboard Admiral Razorbeard's Prison Ship, Ly the Fairy sent Globox to surrender himself to the pirates so he can help Rayman escape captivity. After a brief reunion, Globox gives Rayman a Silver Lum which enables him to break out of their cell, but both become separated after falling from the airborne vessel. Globox is captured by Robo-Pirates and held prisoner at a pirate stronghold across the marshlands until he is eventually saved by Rayman who tracked him there. Globox then helps Rayman through the area by using his Rain Dance to get passed obstacles when more pirates appear to stop them, causing Globox to run and hide in fear. Upon dealing with the villains, Rayman comforts Globox which gives him the courage to continue on before parting ways so he can return to his family.
Sometime later, Globox is captured again while defending his family from Robo-Pirates and is taken back to Razorbeard's Prison Ship as bait for Rayman. However, he soon finds himself being used by the Admiral for a target to test the capabilities of the Grolgoth mecha when Rayman arrives just in time to rescue him. Admiral Razorbeard has the Grolgoth fire at them both which causes the structure Globox is tied on to collapse, but he is unharmed and dangles against the side of the ship as Rayman fights the Grolgoth. The battle results in the destruction of the Prison Ship, which Globox survives but believes Rayman did not. He mourns with his friends and family over the loss until Rayman reappears alive and well, causing them to celebrate.
Rayman 3: Hoodlum Havoc[]
Years later, Rayman and Globox were sleeping one night. However, he was soon woken up by Murfy, sees a Hoodlum and makes a run for it, but he didn't leave Rayman behind. He tries to get Rayman out of there before Hoodlum come after them, but this is unsuccessful and he ends up only taking Rayman's hands while Murfy has to drag him out of there. They manage to escape with Rayman having to find Globox so he can also find his hands, so they track him down and find him outside of the Fairy Council. Globox see Hoodlums after him, so he makes a run for it again Luckoly, Rayman and Murphy manage to show up and catch André, the leader of Hoodlums, after which the Teensie tell Rayman to keep Andre away from The Heart of the World to prevent Andre frpm converting its energy into an army of Hoodlums. However, Globox ends up accidently swallowing him upon colliding with him, so Rayman and Globox have to take a journey to order to find a Teensie doctor named Otto Psi to remove him from Globox. Upon finding him, he tries to remove Andre, but fails twice. He then advises Rayman to seek another Teensie doctor in the Land of the Living Dead named Romeo Patti, but he's unable to remove Andre from Globox as well, so he advises him to pass through the underground where the Knaaren live to find a third Teensie doctor named Art Rytus. Globox got captured by Knaaren, so the only way Rayman could free Globox was challenging Reflux, who is the championship of Knaaren. Rayman manages to defeat Reflux and free Globox. Gumsi, the King of Knaaren rewards Rayman by giving him a special power that turns Hoodlum into Red Lum. They subsequently headed to Art Rytus, who managed to successfully remove Andre after teaming up with the other two doctors, but he escaped and gathered more Hoodlums, including Reflux, to team up and destroy the Heart of the World and kill Rayman and Globox, so Rayman and Globox headed for the Hoodlum Headquarters. Unfortunately, Globox got captured after he got tricked by a a fake cardboard cutout of his species. Luckily, he manage to escape from the trap and stole one of Armaguiddon's vehicle to help Rayman to reach Andre, and assisted Rayman in defeating Andre. After Andre was defeated, Rayman and Globox return to where they started, but Globox was upset that Rayman has turned Andre into a Red Lum. Globox goes to sleep and Rayman does too, after which a flashback is shown, revealing that Andre was created from a Red Lum that was scared by Rayman's hands when they wandered off on their own and made shadow puppets.
Rayman: Hoodlum's Revenge[]
After Andre was defeated, Globox and Rayman were sleeping in a forest, during which Globox's dreams are interrupted upon remembering when he swallowed Andre. He is subsequently awoken by a strange sound that he goes to find the source of. Only a little later, Rayman wakes up as well and notices he's missing, so he sets out to look for him. Along the way, he is informed by Murphy that the Hoodlums are trying to clone Reflux, as well as that the clone will be powered by potent plum juice, necessitating the need to destroy the Infernal Machine that produces it. However, what he doesn't know is that Andre is taking over Globox and planning to turn him into a Reflux clone. When the two finally reunite in the Bog of Murk, Globox is becoming condescending, aggressive and mean as a result of Andre taking control over him, to the extent he outright insults Rayman on certain occasions, causing Rayman to wonder if he got hit in the head. The two then travel together throughout the land, saving various Teenies and fighting some bosses along the way. By the time they reach the Pit of Endless Fire and defeat the Firemonster there, Andre takes full control of Globox to use his body as a Reflux clone and announce his return. However, Rayman manages to defeat him, expelling Andre's black spirit from his body and restoring Globox to his normal self, who then asks Rayman if he missed breakfast. The two then walk off into the forest together.
Rayman Origins[]
Globox is sleeping with Rayman, Grand Minimus, Goth Teensie, and the Bubble Dreamer at the sacred Snoring Tree when the noise they were making was apparently loud enough to anger the nightmarish inhabitants of the Land of the Livid Dead (a different location than the one seen in Rayman 3), causing them leave the dark realms and invade the Glade of Dreams. Globox and the others tried to fight back against them but were imprisoned inside cages as the emerging nightmares caused the Bubble Dreamer to become unhinged, threatening the very existence of the Glade.
In order to save their world from destruction, Globox and his allies have to combat the growing nightmares and free caged Electoons to hold the fabric of reality together, allowing them to reach different locations. During their quest, the heroes save captured Nymphs from the jaws of Darktoons and are rewarded with the power to use new abilities. The Magician would also assist the heroes by giving them advice and trading Lums for Electoons. Eventually, Globox and company arrive at the Dreamer's Door on Mystical Pique where they are informed that to open the door they must first save the Four Kings of the Glade who have been transformed into monsters.
By defeating each of the Kings in combat, the heroes were able to restore their true forms and pass through the Dreamer's Door to Moody Clouds where they find a massive mechanical fortress seemingly powered by Lums and full of hostile robots. They go deeper into the fortress to find The Magician who reveals he has been emulating the villainy of his idol Mr. Dark by using the heroes and invading nightmares to amass enough Lums for his own nefarious purposes. Globox and party pursue The Magician after he attempts to eliminate them with giant mechas and wound up causing him to collide his airship with the fortress's core, resulting in a tremendous explosion. The heroes fall from the sky and land next to the Bubble Dreamer at the Snoring Tree, where they proceed to relax once more with the Glade safe from nightmares.
If the heroes collect all the Skull Teeth in the game, they can access the Land of the Livid Dead where they must save a Nymph who has been transformed into a massive creature called Big Mama.
The game and it's surrounding media also reveal more about Globox's past. Globox was once colored red and a member of the Red Wizards: a community who serve elderly monks called Fakirs found up in the mystical mountains. One day, Globox went to eat some berries from a bush when he accidentally swallows a bug that called for assistance from it's brethren. A swarm of bugs stung Globox all over his body despite his attempts to get away and left him covered with big blue welts that altered his color. Afterwards, the Red Wizards spread rumors that Globox was poisoned by venomous Bubeastietubbis to explain his change in color.
Rayman Legends[]
Globox and the other heroes take a nap which lasts for a century. During this time, the Bubble Dreamer begins having nightmares again which multiply in number and endanger the Glade. Murfy is eventually sent to wake up the heroes and have them combat the invaders across various different lands. During their adventures, Globox and pals save a princess named Barbara who joins them on their quest and learnt that The Magician has returned as five Dark Teensies that are trying to prevent the heroes from stopping the chaos.
