Gobber the Belch is one of the main characters from the How to Train Your Dragon book series.
Biography[]
How to Train Your Dragon[]
Gobber is the teacher of the Viking training program. he instructs the boys to get a hunting dragon hibernationg in the cave in order to train it.
When he faced the Green Death, he yelled at it, since that is the traditional way of training a dragon, but he failed.
How to Be a Pirate[]
Gobber challenged one of the boys to fight Dogsbreath. Hiccup volunteered and it turned out that Hiccup has reflexes.
Gobber also went to the island of Skullions with other Hooligans. He is the one who helped Hiccup for having a dislocated shoulder.
How to Speak Dragonese[]
Gobber teaches the boys about boating, but Hiccup and Fishlegs failed and got lost.
How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse[]
Gobber teached the boys how to ski while hunting Semi-Spotted Snowpeckers and Snotlout hunted the most.
Gobber later mentioned that Vikings don't get sick, but in the end of the book, he caught a cold.
How to Twist a Dragon's Tale[]
Gobber trained the boys about dragon riding. When the fire came because of the Exterminator dragons, Gobber used his dragon, Goliath to save the boys, but after saving most of them, the dragon died. Humongously Hotshot the Hero saved Hiccup and Gobber.

Gobber is one of the slaves in the Amber Slavelands, alongside Stoick ands Baggybum. Snotlout is their slaver.
How to Betray a Dragon's Hero[]
Gobber is in Alvin's prison cell and his beard got shaved, which is very shameful for Vikings, since their beards represent their glory.
How to Fight a Dragon's Fury[]
Gobber is one of the supporters for Hiccup to be king.
