God is the overarching protagonist of the Smiling Friends episode "Charlie Dies and Doesn't Come Back."
In order to help Charlie confront his pessimistic attitude and make amends with Pim after an argument, he makes him confront Satan to bargain for his life. After Satan upends his part of the deal and refuses to send Charlie back to Earth, God intervenes, rescuing Charlie from Hell and launching him back to Earth.
He was voiced by the late Gilbert Gottfried, who also voiced Iago in the Aladdin franchise and Digit in Cyberchase.
Appearance[]
He is a gigantic, muscular, Caucasian humanoid deity. He wears a golden toga and brown sandals. His face is entirely obscured by a pulsating, glowing white light.
Personality[]
He is depicted as a friendly, optimistic, and benevolent deity, seeing the best in Charlie and hoping he can confront his own flaws by sending him on a mission to confront Satan. He is also honorable, as he forces Satan to hold up his end of a deal. He rescues Charlie in a heroic, charismatic, and awe-inspiring fashion before launching him back to Earth.

- According to a statement made by Glep, who uses Charlie's story to infer that "Christianity was right all along," God is specifically a representation of the Christian God.
