The Golden Dawn is a group of Magic Knights and a major heroic faction in Black Clover.
Description[]
The Golden Dawn is the considered the strongest squad of Magic Knight, earning the most stars of any squad. It is mostly made up of Nobles. Being accepted by The Golden Dawn is incredibly rare, and many consider it the greatest chance to being the Wizard King.
However, in a plot twist, it was revealed that William Vangeance was the host and partner with Patoilli, who posed as the real Licht and the leader of Eye of the Midnight Sun. During the elves' invasion after Patoilli assasinated Julius, most of the Golden Dawn members except Mimosa Vermillion were possessed by reincarnated elves, though Yuno managed to maintain his free will due to the reincarnation came from Licht's unborn son.
After Zagred's defeat and the elves' departure, William was spared by a revived (though severely deaged) Julius so that he could atone himself, and Yuno was promoted to become a Vice-Captain of the squad.
Nevertheless, half a year later, the Golden Dawn Squad met with a crushing defeat when Zenon Zogratis invaded their base alongside two Dark Disciples, kidnapping William, defeating everyone in the squad and killing half of its members.
