Golden Freddy is a major protagonist who can be unlocked in FNaF World if the player encounters and fights them in the overworld and defeats them. Golden Freddy is considered to be one of the harder characters to unlock due to how rare he is to find and because of how much he debuffs the entire enemy team.
FNaF World[]
Golden Freddy functions very similar to that of the Phantom Animatronics and Shadow Bonnie in terms of roles and how they function. The player should use Golden Freddy should they feel like using a character to not only stunt the enemies progression but also debuff them as well. Golden Freddy is very good at stunning opponents with Jump scare; this only last temporarily, if the player wants a longer stun for the enemy then haunting is recommended; this move only affects on one enemy.
Attacks[]
A red attack that temporarily stuns all enemies.
A purple attack that temporarily decreases the enemies' defense in addition to damaging them.
A yellow attack that summons a ghost to turn enemies to stone.
Freddy in Space 2[]
Golden Freddy appears in Freddy in Space 2. He's an unlockable character and an enemy; the player can only unlock him if they do a certain amount of tasks as he's one of the secret characters that can be unlocked within the game. Golden Freddy's attack is a super sonic scream where he screams his iconic phrase "It's me", the range with the attack is not very good nor is the damage from the attack. Although should the player level him up to level 5 Golden Freddy's attack can one shot most enemies and even most bosses in the game.
Golden Freddy is needed to unlock the Golden button in Galactic Factory's underwater segment. Upon pressing it the player will receive a ton of EXP and the player will also get a bunch of gems as well.
Golden Freddy can be unlocked if the player does the following
1. Have The Puppet unlocked by beating Stellar Pit.
2. Enter Galactic Factory and defeat the first boss, Robo Chica WIP.
3. Continue on and find an area with a block that does not match the rest and an empty space to the left.
4. Use the Puppet's attack to destroy the block and enter the empty space. The sound of an item being collected will be heard, but nothing will be seen happening.
5. Return to the boss area and find Golden Freddy. He will be lying down on the left side of the area. Simply walk up to him and he will join the party.
Trivia[]
- Golden Freddy, unlike the other characters, is not standing up, rather he is slouched on the ground. This is a reference to Golden Freddy being slumped in FNaF 1 and FNaF 2.
- Golden Freddy's loading screen message is a reference to how Golden Freddy almost always appears alongside with the words "It's Me" in the original games.
- Golden Freddy does not move during his idle animation, only his pupils flicker.
- His FNAF 1 counterpart, which he is based on, doesn't have any buttons. Withered Golden Freddy, however, does.
- Similarly, he does not seem to have a bowtie, although his FNAF 1 counterpart does.
- Unlike the other FNAF 1 animatronics, his second game counterpart, Withered Golden Freddy, does not make an appearance.
- Although he does not seem to have an endoskeleton, Unscrew and Unscrew 2 still work on him
- Even though he is believed to be Fredbear, he cannot be used to get the Universe End Ending. This is likely because Fredbear and Golden Freddy are from different times in the core series, akin to the Withered animatronics.
