Golly Gopher is the deuteragonist of Re-Animated and it's spin-off TV series Out of Jimmy's Head. He is a cartoon gopher who wants to be a star, and uses Jimmy Roberts to do so. He is the confident leader and iconic main character of Appleday Studios.
He was voiced by the late Paul Reubens in Re-Animated and Carlos Alazraqui in Out of Jimmy's Head.
Appearance[]
He is a cartoon gopher. He wears a blue shirt with yellow stripes. white gloves, has a black nose and has two buck-teeth.
Personality[]
On screen, Golly is a charismatic, humorous, fun-loving, and cheerful/energetic hero. But in Jimmy's head, he's really a manipulative and narcissistic egomaniac who's always putting himself before others, he constantly manipulates Jimmy into prioritizing himself and disregarding others with no empathy.
He heavily craves fame and attention and dislikes any demeaning portrayals of his character, Golly doesn't seem to care about Jimmy's feelings towards becoming a celebrity, only wanting to become famous once more and won't think twice about making Jimmy do what he wants.
He can be a real jerk sometimes, he often pushes around his best friend, Crocco, in an episode of Out of Jimmy's Head, but thankfully it was only a flashback.
He is also very immature, as he constantly shouts out his lines and when he saw that his reputation got shattered, he acted like a crybaby. He does not take no for an answer, as he infamously yelled at Jimmy that he doesn't care what he wants, claimed to be the one who made Jimmy who he is today, and outright tells Jimmy that he can't say no to him as something "true", all while going on a tirade and raving angrily like a lunatic.
He was also a hypocrite one time as he vilified Craig for being selfish, yet Golly himself is just as selfish as him.

- Golly is a spoof of Mickey Mouse, much like his peers are spoofs of other Disney characters.
- Golly's personality is that of Bugs Bunny (who Golly is also spoofing) and Bloo (and even Daffy Duck), except much more egotistical and narcissistic than the three combined.
- Golly looks very similar to Dolly Gopher.
