Gordon Quid is the main protagonist of the Nickelodeon show, Catscratch. He is the older brother of Waffle and the younger brother of Mr. Blik.

He is a Manx cat, 14-year-old, and a brave member of the Highland Quid clan. He acts and talks like he is from Scotland (despite the fact that he's really not). The cat has a soft spot for Human Kimberly and loves singing. He is a great cook - but most of the Scottish dishes he cooks are considered unedible. He loves to sing, but the hobby quite regularly irritates his older brother, Mr. Blik. He has an orange patch on his left eye and is allergic to both broccoli and chocolate which, if touched, will turn him into a "Mr. Hyde"-like monster. In some episodes, Gordon is shown with green-colored eyes, but in others he has blue.

He is voiced by Rob Paulsen who also voices Reuben in Stitch! The Movie, Carl Wheezer in Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, Jack Fenton in Danny Phantom, P.J. in A Goofy Movie, and Donatello in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012).

Description[]

All honor and heart, righter of wrong, doer of good, Gordon is a sloppy bachelor who harbors a secret crush on Human Kimberly. He also is loyal to a fault, full of pride, and a very messy eater. Judging from his short tail, he is a Manx. Gordon also has to get Mr. Blik to do the right thing. Gordon's catchphrases are "In the name of the Highland Quid Clan!", "Feel my sting!", "Great gopher!", "Cheer!", "Aye!", and sometimes "Pop a Wheelie!".

Looks[]

Gordon is mostly a white color. He has an orange spot around his left eye. He has a stumpy orange tail and a pair of green eyes with black pupils.

Gordon has come out in every episode of Catscratch. His first appearance was in "To The Moon." His last appearance was in "Duck and Cover."

Trivia[]

  • Gordon is the middle child of the cats.
  • Gordon had ginger fur, yellow teeth and brown stripes on his head in the pilot/pitch.
  • There is a running gag involving Gordon's Scottish background. Every time when he makes a comment about him being a noble member of the Highland Quid-clan, Mr. Blik usually then responds that he was born under the sofa.
    • But Mr. Blik was wrong as seen in the episode: Clan Destiny.
