Erica Wang, also known as Grace Wain to differentiate between her younger counterpart, is the overarching protagonist of the second season of The Epic Tales of Captain Underpants.
She is voice by Erica Luttrell, who also voiced her past self and her alternate timeline counterpart in the same show, and Keesha Franklin in The Magic School Bus.
Biography[]
Grace Wain was first introduced in The Tenuous Takedown of the Tyrannical Teachertrons, replacing Melvinborg as the superintendent of Jerome Horwitz Elementary School. After George, Harold and Sergeant Boxers stop the Teachertrons, Grace Wain told the Melvin and Melvinborg that the school is not ready for robots yet and told them they need permit to build robots on school grounds and then told Sergeant Boxers to put his clothes on and washed his face to himself back into Mr. Meaner.
In The Taxing Trauma of the Treacherous Tattle Trials Part 2, it is revealed that she is actually a future version of Erica Wang, who time-traveled to ensure her child self's entry into Eliteanati Academy.
Appearance[]
Like Erica, she has an afro-like hair with yellow earrings and a blue suit.
Personality[]
Grace is the only person that has power over Melvinborg and can stop him from harming George and Harold in any way possible. While she doesn't engage in actual combat, Grace manages to put the Melvins in their place from going too far in how they run the school.
The Season 2 finale expands on this with the reveal that she is actually the President of Earth from the future and manages to achieve world peace 2 years into her presidency. She also encourages Melvin by telling him that he can guarantee himself a successful future if he makes the effort to change himself for the better.
