Gran (The Croods)

Gran Stonewell is the grandmother of the Crood family. She is also Ugga Crood's mother and supporting character in the Dreamworks animated movie The Croods, its sequel The Croods: A New Age, and the Netflix prequel series Dawn of the Croods.

She was voiced by the late Cloris Leachman in the films, and Laraine Newman in the TV series.

In Japanese Dub she is voiced by Masako Nozawa, who also voiced Son Goku, and other Dragon Ball Z characters.

Appearance[]

Gran is old and wears a white wig that is in fact a gliding squirel like creature appropriately dubbed 'Wigasus' but is otherwise bald (a bit more matted or disheveled), and a small tooth (which she can remove at will). She wears a reptile's skin which most likely belongs to a crocodile and wields a tall, twisted staff in her hand. She is the eldest of the Croods family. Her body is not disproportionate, but her arms and legs are incredibly slim; you can practically see her bones. Gran's nose is also incredibly huge; With a nose that is easily 10 times the size of your eyes, you can detect odors from miles away.

Personality[]

She is stubborn, and (like any mother-in-law) loves to tease/torture her son-in-law Grug, who eagerly awaits her death to come. But it seems like this old gal is sticking around for their long journey ahead of them. Gran may appear old, but she can be pretty handy with her cane if needed.
