Grandpa Smurf is a minor character in the 1981 Smurfs cartoon.
He is Papa Smurf's father from the Smurfs series, he is an elderly Smurf who also helped his son and the Smurfs on their adventures to stop Gargamel and Azrael. And he is also known as grandfatherly, reasonable, sweet and fearless.
He was voiced by the late Jonathan Winters, who also voiced Papa Smurf in the 2011 film The Smurfs, and its 2013 sequel The Smurfs 2.
Relationships[]
Grandpa and Papa Smurf are particularly close, like father and son. And Grandpa has a grandfather-granddaughter relationship with Sassette Smurfling, who affectionly calls him "Grandpy".
Brainy Smurf is usually quick to question Grandpa's knowledge, like the time Nemesis returned to try stealing the Long Life Force Stone.
Grandpa also has a relationship with Nanny Smurf, and coincidentally she even calls him "Grandpers".
