Graymalkin (real name Jonas Graymalkin) is a fictional character appearing in comic books published by Marvel Comics. He is Charles Xavier's distant great-uncle and a mutant with the ability to have superhuman senses and remain ageless in the dark. Because of his confusion after being reawakened, Anole has taken Graymalkin under his wing.
Greymalkin was created by Marc Guggenheim and Yanick Paquette. He first appeared in the 2008 series Young X-Men #1 in a vision by Blindfold and made his first full appearance in Young X-Men #3
History[]
Background[]
Graymalkin was Professor Xavier's great, great, great, great etc. etc. grand-uncle from 200 years in the past. He was discovered kissing another boy by his father and buried alive on the property. This activated his mutation: super-strength, speed, durability, and no aging while in complete or semi-darkness. He remained there for two hundred years until he was recently unearthed. After being freed, he joined the young X-Men. He suffers from post-traumatic stress disorder and confusion over the world of the future. This has led Anole to take the younger mutant under his wing as his mentor.
