Legends

To escape the wrath of the Six Clan that he betrayed and to atone for his past sins, Sixshot faked his death and became the Autobot Greatshot. As part of his redemption, he also resurrected Jack, who he murdered years ago, and the revived bot served as Greatshot's Headmaster for a period that included Greatshot officially joining Star Saber's Autobots and defeating the Concurrence.

Victory

In Planet Micro- The Mysterious Warrior, Greatshot tracked down his old enemies Black Shadow and Blue Bacchus to the planet Micro to settle an old score for a past betrayal. There he encountered and teamed up with Star Saber, who was also investigating Decepticon attacks. Greatshot informed the Autobots that he would deal with the matter as a point of honour, though Star Saber insisted on helping anyway. Greatshot battled Blue Bacchus and Black Shadow, but when they were close to beating him, hu used his "Disappearing Dust" trick, appearing to self-destruct and then appearing behind them. Greatshot was able to injure them to the point of needing to retreat, and one of his parting shots destroyed the plasma energy they were after. With their paymaster Hellbat having set the energy plant to explode in revenge, Greatshot and Star Saber attempted to put out the fire, before Star Saber told Greatshot to pull out, so he could deal with the plant himself. Afterwards, he parted ways with the Autobots on somewhat friendlier terms.

Trivia

  • The idea that Greatshot was an upgraded version of Sixshot, who was depicted as remorseful by the end of The Headmasters, was a long running fandom theory. For one thing, they both had the same actor, who voiced them both with a stereotypical samurai movie dialect. The belief that the two were the same would eventually be made canon in the Legends comic, where Greatshot was presented as Sixshot in a new body.
