The Greed Island Game Masters are the character from the anime/manga series, Hunter x Gunter. They are the creators of Greed Island. Ging Freecss is the leader of the Game Masters.
Overview[]
They are responsible for the game's operations and act as its rule enforcers. There are a total of 11 people responsible for creating the game. It’s revealed that the game’s title uses the initials of their first names. Since Ging was the lead designer, he wanted a word that started with “G” and decided to use “Greed”.
Members[]
- Ging Freecss - is the creator of Greed Island, thus being the lead developer of the game. He is Gon Freecss' father and a legendary Double Star Hunter.
- Razor - is one of the Game Masters of Greed Island. He is in charge of the game's emissive systems, and as such ensures the smooth functioning of most spells. He also serves as the final boss of the quest to acquire "Plot of Beach". As a Game Master, Razor is in possession of a special card that allows him to banish players who enter Greed Island illegally to a random location on the Azian Continent. He is a very powerful individual. He is also a skilled sportsman, his specialty being dodgeball.
- Eta - is one of the Game Masters and creators of Greed Island. She is Elena's twin sister, one of the other creators of the game. Eta is in charge of the reception of incoming players, her main role being to explain the basic rules of the game. She monitors everyone that comes to the island, from players to intruders. She has shown to be very professional and acts almost machine-like when detailing the rules of Greed Island. Her Nen ability is unknown.
- Elena - is Eta's twin sister, she is in charge of the farewell of the players who wanted to leave the video game.

- Ickshonpe Katocha is speculated to stand for the "I" in the acronym due to the Spell Card Shop in Masadora bearing his mask's likeness and the number "6" on his shirt, which corresponds to the "I" in "Greed Island", on top of his expert computer skills as a Hacker Hunter, but his involvement in the game remains to be confirmed.
- Eta is the girl who teaches everyone about the game and Elena is the girl who talks to people leaving the game.
