Greez Dritus is the tritagonist of both the 2019 video game Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and its 2023 sequel Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, and a major character in the latter's prequel novel Star Wars Jedi: Battle Scars.
He is voiced by Daniel Roebuck, who also played Leslie Arzt in Lost.
Biography[]
Early Life[]
Greez Dritus was born on the planet Lateron to unnamed parents, but was raised by his grandmother Pyloon since his parents weren't around. During his youth, he attended the Lateron Space Academy, and later left home after purchasing the Stinger Mantis to thrill seek across the galaxy. At some point, Dritus traveled to Coruscant and planned to steal from the Jedi temple, but ultimately backed out of the idea. While pursuing the high of gambling, he came into debt with the Haxion Brood, and started to evade the crime syndicate during his travels.
After the Galactic Empire's rise, Greez was tasked by the Jedi Cere Junda to help her restore the order. The two formed a bond over time, especially when Cere gave her kyber crystal to the Haxion Brood when they caught up to the Latero. At some point, Greez lied to Cere about paying off the rest of his debt to the crime syndicate, which later proved detrimental when helping his ally.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order[]
In 14 BBY, Greez and Cere gathered intelligence that the empire's inquisitors were traveling to Bracca, deducing that they had discovered a Jedi on the planet. Rescuing Cal Kestis, a Jedi padawan who survived Order 66, Cere explained her plan to locate Eno Cordova's holocron. Dritus supported Cal and Cere by bringing them to their destinations, preferring to remain within the Stinger Mantis than engage in combat. However, his debt to he Haxion Brood caught to him once again, capturing Kestis when he returned to Zeffo. Regretting his actions, Greez assisted Junda in rescuing Kestis from the crime syndicate's arena, and apologized for his recklessness.
Dritus continued his support by taking Cal to numerous planets, where he brought a bogling and the nightsister Merrin into the Mantis crew. Once Cal and Cere obtained Cordova's holocron from the Second Sister on Nur, Dritus and Merrin witnessed the former destroy the holocron to protect the force-sensitive children on it.
