Greg is the protagonist in Fetch, the first story in the book of the same name.
Appearance[]
In the teaser for the book, Greg is introduced as a young teenager with short, straight brown hair. However, in the story, he is described as someone with long wavy blonde hair.
His face is described with eyes a little close to each other and a small nose.
History[]
In the middle of a rainy day, Greg and his friends Hadi and Cyril go to an abandoned Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, where they find an animatronic dog named Fetch, which can synchronize with someone's phone and take orders from the user. A moment after Greg activated Fetch, they heard a slamming door that made them run out of the building. Greg rode his bike home and met up with his uncle Darrin.
At school, Greg received a text message from a number revealed to be Fetch, but Greg remained skeptical. The next day, Greg gets a lot of text messages from Fetch and realizes that it has to be him, since he knows everything he's doing.
In AP science class, Greg had to do a project on REG with Kimberly, the girl he likes. On the way home, Greg was attacked by his neighbor's dog, but Greg was able to escape. The next morning, Greg finds the dog's corpse in his backyard, with Fetch sending a text message; "YW" (acronym for "You're Welcome"). Greg and his friends return to Freddy's to find Fetch, but they can't find him anywhere.
A few days later, Greg and Kimberly worked on the lab project after school. They have an interesting conversation about REG and the zero point field. At home, he invited his friends to talk about Fetch. After they left, Greg looked for ways to make more money from his experiments. He texts his uncle Darrin telling him that he needs his "Lucky Magic Finger", a joke between Greg and his uncle. Greg was startled to find his uncle's severed finger on his doormat the next morning. His mom informed him that his uncle was attacked by a wild animal that tore off his finger. When Greg finds Fetch near his house, he takes his baseball bat and angrily destroys him, burying him afterwards.
Greg overslept and skipped school because he blames himself for his uncle's severed finger. Hadi called Greg telling him Kimberly was wondering where he was. While Greg was getting dressed, he received a text message from Fetch that said "I'll get it back." In disbelief, he went to the place where he buried Fetch and found that he was gone. Greg ran to Kimberly's house to warn her and hid in the bushes since Kimberly was not at home. Once he arrived, Greg told him he was in danger. Her parents called the police because they think he was stalking her.
Greg stayed at the police station until his parents arrived and took him home. After taking a shower, Greg finds Kimberly's dead body under a sheet. Then you see a new Fetch text that says "CU".
Trivia[]
- Greg had a nightmare which involved a faceless man, which could relate to The Man in Room 1280. This could also be very plausible since Fetch used to be controlled/haunted by Andrew, the soul that kept the Man alive and is now in The Stitchwraith.
- Greg also regularly babysat a 4-year-old kid named Jake.
- Interestingly, Greg shares the same name as Gregory from Five Nights at Freddy's: Security Breach and shares many physical similarities to him.
