Biography[]
Military Service[]
The soldier code-named "Grinch" would join the United States Army at an unknown time, and would reach the rank of sergeant first class. Grinch later became an operative for Delta Force, and became a member of Team Metal, which was led by Master Sergeant Sandman. He appears to be the third person to join the team, due to his callsign being "Metal 0-3". In addition, Grinch became friends with Truck, and would later meet the fourth member of the team, Derek "Frost" Westbrook.
World War III[]
Grinch participated in the Battle of New York along with Team Metal, and assisted Sandman and Frost in clearing the streets and a store. The team meet with Anvil Team, and are tasked with destroying an enemy jammer at the top of the Stock Exchange. Grinch and the group succeed in destroying the jammer, and are evacuated by a Black Hawk before having to fight off Russian hinds. Later on, the team are inserted into New York's harbor, where they meet with U.S. Navy SEALs to destroy a Russian submarine. Grinch stays atop as Sandman and Frost clear the sub, and launch cruise missiles at the Russian fleet.
Two months afterward, Team Metal were redeployed to Hamburg, after Vladimir Makarov had chemicals sent in Europe. The team manage to make across the beach, and Truck and Grinch stay behind while Sandman and Frost fight their way to save the U.S. Vice President. Soon after the vice president was secured, Sandman was given information from his ally Captain John Price, who told them that Makarov's bomb maker was Viktor "Volk" Khristenko. Team Metal is sent into Paris to capture Volk, and are assisted by the French GIGN. The group successfully apprehend Volk after a car chase, and the team have to fight their way to a secondary extraction point after their primary one was compromised.
The U.S. authorities interrogated Volk, who gave up information that the Inner Circle was attempting to capture the Russian president's daughter, Alena Vorshevsky. Team Metal is sent to Berlin to provide cover fire for Team Granite and Onyx, but the team are killed while trying to rescue Alena. Team Metal were then tasked with saving her, and are too late to save due to the Russians rigging a building, and putting a bomb on the door. Grinch aimed his rifle at the Russian's helicopter, but Sandman stops him, stating that they can't risk killing Alena if they downed it.
Rescuing President Vorshevsky[]
Thankfully, Delta was able to track down the helicopter, which landed at an diamond mine in Siberia. Team Metal joined with Captain Price and Yuri in a mission to rescue Alena, but Frost was replaced with McCoy on the mission. The team successfully rescue Alena, who tells them that her father, President Boris Vorshevksy was down in the mines. The group go deeper into the mine, and manage to rescue the president before he could be executed. During extract, the mine starts to fall apart as Russian forces attack the group, which leads to Yuri being wounded by an RPG.
Grinch, Sandman and Truck provided cover for Price and Yuri to get to the Black Hawk, but are running out of ammo. Sandman then ordered the Black Hawk pilot to leave, despite Captain Price's protest to save the three. The pilot left the diamond mine as it collapsed, presumably killing Grinch, Sandman and Truck alongside the Russian troops. Grinch and his team's death were not in vain, however, as saving the Russian president allowed for a peace treaty, and the end of the third world war.
