~ Grizz Bear to Panda Bear, and his most famous quote. |
Grizzly "Grizz" Bear is the main protagonist of the 2015 Cartoon Network original series, We Bare Bears, its 2020 series finale film, We Bare Bears: The Movie, and its 2022 spin-off prequel, We Baby Bears. He is the oldest brother of the Bears, and is the leader of the trio. He tries his best to perform righteous actions for both the benefit of his family and himself, although his arrogance can be a notable barrier. Growing up without parents or guardians, much like his adoptive brothers, he grew up attempting to be a model big brother, though he was mediocre at it nonetheless.
Grizz Bear is voiced by Eric Edelstein as adult who also voices Chad from Clarence, B.O.B. from Monsters vs. Aliens TV Show, and Geoff from The Ghost and Molly McGee and as a cub he was voiced by Sam Lavagnino, who also voices Rolly from Puppy Dog Pals. In We Baby Bears, he is voiced by Connor Andrade, who also voiced Bobbi from Deer Squad.
Appearance[]
Grizzly is an anthropomorphic grizzly bear. His entire body is completely covered in brown fur. Grizzly, though shorter than his brother Ice Bear, has more girth than his siblings.
Personality[]
Grizzly is the one who acts like the leader. Out of the three bears, he stands out the most and sets good examples for his brothers. He also mostly typically loves food. He wants a lot of friends to hang out with. He likes attention and wants to be internet famous. He loves his brothers and when they were in trouble in the episode, "Our Stuff," he said they would go through it together.
He is probably the most outgoing out of his brothers. He has been shown to be a quick thinker, as seen in the episode "Food Truck," when he figures out the flash on Panda's phone can be used to temporally blind woodland creatures. However, because of having these personalities, Grizzly seemingly would sometimes thinks that he can be a real-live superhero, as this was demonstrated in the episode, "Our Stuff," he decided not to call the police and convinced his siblings to be vigilantists. As such, Grizz's personality might make him look very optimistic, but with a mind that makes him have less understanding about the world, or suspect others and even forgives some old enemies causes him to be one of the types that would get himself, his siblings, even his own loved ones into troublesome situations.
Despite all of this, Grizzly is also occasionally arrogant, and thinks that he, and his brothers are typically the coolest, and the ones who are better than other people, but mostly himself, as seen in the episode, "Jean Jacket," Grizzly had made a spinning-wheel, which it would give Grizzly a high-chance of having the Jean Jacket because his side is the biggest while his brothers are smaller. This is the only evidence that shown that Grizz would sometimes have a little bit selfish against his brothers.
