The Guardians of Arcadia are the main protagonists of the Tales of Arcadia franchise, appearing in Wizards and the film Trollhunters: Rise of the Titans.
They were originally created by Merlin when he sent his apprentice, Douxie, to gather them all; even though he was unable to find the Akiridions nor the Changelings, he still managed to find Toby Domzalski, AAARRRGGHH!!!, and Steve Palchuk. They went to Camelot, which was floating magically in the sky during the 21st century. However, when the Arcane Order attacked, Douxie and Steve, along with Jim Lake Jr. and Claire Nuñez, fell through a time rift leading them back 900 years earlier into the 12th century. They managed to return to the present day, but the Onyx Shard corrupted Jim's heart and turned him from a half-troll into a complete troll, but returned back to human after King Arthur's death. Because of Arthur's death and Morgana's redemption, Excalibur is now trapped in stone, awaiting its next wielder.
