The Guardians of the Globe are the main protagonists of the Image Comics series Invincible and its animated adaptation of the same name.
They are regarded as the best group of superheroes who work to protect Earth from various threats under the orders of the Global Defense Agency.

Past[]
The Guardians were founded in the late 1900s, consisting of Red Rush, War Woman, The Immortal, Darkwing, Martian Man, Green Ghost I and Black Samson, having their headquarters funded by Darkwing and War Woman's companies.
At some point, Black Samson lost all his powers and left the team.
Present[]
Eventually, the remaining members were brutally murdered one-by-one by Omni-Man. After their deaths, multiple new heroes would take over the role.

- They are based on the Justice League from DC Comics, though their name "Guardians of the Globe" is based on the Guardians of the Galaxy from Marvel Comics.
