Guru is a character from Dragon Ball Z. He is the leader of the Namekians. He is the father of just about all Namekians, aside from Piccolo and Kami who had a different father. He died in the show, making the dragonballs useless. But then after he was revived, the dragon's final wish was used to bring everyone but Goku and Frieza back to Earth. He passed away and gives his status as leader and the Dragon balls to his eldest son, Moori.

He was voiced by the late Junpei Takiguchi, Masaharu Satō and Yasunori Masutani in the Japanese version, and by Robert O. Smith, Christopher R. Sabat and Bill Jenkins in the English version.

Personality[]

During his screen time, he is presented as a wise and beloved leader. He seemed compassionate towards not just his people, but almost everyone with the exception of those who harmed other forms of life. He wasn't egotistical, as he never summoned the dragon for selfish reasons like immortality despite the fact it would have been very easy for him to make said wishes.
