However, it is revealed that Gwen has a crush on Peter since the seventh grade and wants to get together with him.
She was voiced by Lacey Chabert, who also voiced Young Vitani in The Lion King II: Simaba's Pride and The Lion Guard, Aleu in Balto II: Wolf Quest, Eliza Thornberry in The Wild Thornberrys series and film, Meg Griffin in Family Guy, Zatanna in Young Justice, and Princess Elise in Sonic the Hedgehog.
Little is known about this version of Gwen Stacy's early history.
But at some point, she became best friends with Peter Parker and Harry Osborn. However, she developed a crush on Peter.
High School Life[]
After a fun summer of keeping the streets of New York safe, it was back to school for Peter Parker. He claimed everything would change. After reuniting with his friends, Gwen and Peter got internships at ESU labs.
The Lizard[]
When Dr. Connors created a serum that could regenerate lost limbs using Lizard DNA, he was transformed into a terrifying Lizard-like creature. Seeing an opportunity to take pictures, Peter leaves behind Gwen and Mrs. Connors, saying he can't be late to get home. He then heads out as Spider-Man to stop Connors at the local Reptilian Zoo. A battle ensued between Spider-Man and The Lizard, and with Eddie's help, he defeated Connors and got pictures for the Daily Bugle. Peter was fired from his job as intern when everyone saw that he had taken pictures and lied about going home, which stressed his relationship with Eddie and the Connors.
Venom[]
When Peter (who was bonded to the Venom symbiote) began to develop aggressive emotions around his friends even when they tried to support him when Aunt May suffered a heart attack. During the parade, Eddie (who became bonded to the symbiote after Spider-Man rejected it) turned into Venom and kidnapped Gwen and tied her to a parade float to lure Spider-Man (whose identity he discovered from the symbiote) into a fight with him. Spider-Man managed to save her and defeat Venom. She and her father then came to the Parker residence to have Thanksgiving with them. Before leaving, Gwen confessed her feelings for Peter by kissing him.
Father's Death[]
At some point, her father George Stacy died, leaving Gwen alone. Josh Keaton confirmed that after this, Peter Parker's life began to spiral downward after the series finale.
Powers and abilities[]
Genius Intellect: Gwen's large IQ is rivaled to Peter's.
Bravery: Despite lacking any superhuman abilities, she eventually can face the dangerous scenarios that drag her in without fear. Even when Venom kidnapped her, she tried to appeal to Eddie's humanity.

Trivia[]
This version of Gwen Stacy is a shy science nerd instead of a drama queen like in the comics. Her physical appearance also differed until the last few episodes where she resembled her comic counterpart's appearance.
Unlike her comic counterpart, the creators of the show had no plans to kill her off.
Gwen initially started dating Harry out of pity, and not actually liking him that way. When she and Peter confessed their feelings to each other, they planned to be together, however, when Norman Osborn was presumed dead, Harry used the death of his father to trap Gwen in a relationship with him; this is made worse by the fact that Harry overheard Gwen and Peter's confessions to one another, thus isn't even dating Gwen out of his crush for her anymore, but merely out of spite against Peter and Gwen (for "betrayal"), which was perhaps a hint that he would follow his father's path into supervillainy, had the show continued.
