Hanabi appears throughout the series and was present to watch the final parts of the chunin exams before the Sand-Sound Invasion of the Village. She survived the attack on the village.
Throughout the years, Hanabi has become more active in affairs within the Hyuga clan. Hanabi is also one of the many caught in the Madara Uchiha's Infinite Tsukyomi when the Uchiha casted the technique on the world during the Fourth Ninja World War. She was released by Naruto and Sasuke. She continues to serve in the Hyuga clan and stay by Hinata's side years after the Fourth Ninja War.

Hanabi is Hinata's younger sister, and a dutiful ninja who bears the weight of the clan on her shoulders. She loves and admires her older sister very much and the feeling is mutual.
