Hanabishi Haruka, also known by her magical girl alias Magia Magenta, is the one of the main antagonists of the ecchi anime and manga series Gushing over Magical Girls. She is a middle school student who is secretely a magical girl and a member of the organization Tres Magia. Unaware to her and her friends, they all attend to the same school and classroom with the three other members of their enemies, the members of the Enormeeta: Magia Baiser, Leopard, Nero Alice, Leberblume and Loco Musica.
She is voiced by Maeda Kaori in Japanese.
Appearance[]
Haruka is a beautiful teenage girl with pink hair that is usually tied in two spiral pigtails on both sides with several bangs. Her eyes are a turquoise color. She is usually seen in her female school sailor uniform.
Personality[]
Haruka is an optimistic and positive girl. She emerges as an exuberant, impulsive, and juvenile individual, characterized by her perpetual smile and spontaneous actions driven by her emotions. She harbors a deep affection for Sayo and Kaoruko, esteeming their prowess and resilience as magical practitioners. In the grand scheme of her peers, she embodies the most conventional archetype of a magical girl within the series. But beneath her vivacious exterior lies a profound naiveté and susceptibility to manipulation. Her belief in unconventional defenses, exemplified by her application of pasties to sensitive areas as protection against Magia Baiser's attacks, underscores her innocence. This innocence is further evidenced by her falling prey to blatantly obvious traps on multiple occasions, only recognizing their true nature after they had been sprung. Notable instances include Nero Alice's deliberate lure using a torn cat doll to lead Tres Magia into a trap, as well as a deceptive room within Magia Baiser's dungeon designed to entice her with apparent comfort and refreshments.
