Hannah Abbott is a minor character from the Harry Potter series. She is a Hufflepuff student and a friend of Harry Potter.
She was portrayed by Charlotte Skeoch in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
She was portrayed by Louisa Warren in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.
Harry Potter series[]
Hannah Abbott is a young witch who has Harry Potter's same age and was sorted into Hufflepuff.
In her fourth year, she prepared a lot for the Ordinary Wizarding Level, a examination which was to happen on her fifth year. She felt pressure and she broke down in tears during a Herbology classtime, after she claimed she was not good enough to take the assessments.
In the Chamber of Secret, she does not believe that Harry is the heir of Slytherin, but her friend, Ernie Macmillan, persuades her to believe it. She and Ernie later learn that Harry is not the heir. She was a member of Dumbledore's Army led by Harry, Ron and Hermione. After Voldemort's death, Hannah becomes the landlady of the Leaky Cauldron and marries Neville Longbottom but they never had children. She eventually trained as a healer and applied for the job of Matron at Hogwarts.
