Hannah Wells is one of the major characters in Designated Survivors. A former member of the FBI and a special agents division, now a CIA Operative till her death in the the events of bioterror lab discovery.

Overview[]

Hannah was the one who discovered that Peter MacLeish, a survivor of the Capitol bombing, was hiding in a bomb shelter beneath the Capitol and was associated with the conspirators responsible during the first season. She exposed Peter MacLeish, who was then vice president. She also learnt the identify of another conspirator, Catalan. Eventually, she was able to reveal the conspirators who named themselves the True Believers, which led to their collapse.

She worked on an inquiry into Andrea Frost, whom she believed to be the hacker known as "Gamine," who was responsible for intrusions into NASA, the Washington DC Power Grid, President Kirkman's therapy recordings, and other attacks that resulted in several fatalities, including Damian Rennet. She had publicly humiliated Andrea Frost by accusing her of these crimes and sabotage against President Kirkman, after the president instructed her to locate tangible proof and Frost admitted to a secret chat during the Cabinet hearing about Kirkman's mental capacity to continue in office. After the fact, President Kirkman seemed to terminate Hannah in the Oval Office as a result of her conduct.

However, the dismissal was only a ruse since Kirkman's close buddy Dax Minter, also known as Gamine, had bugged the model automobile in his office. Without becoming overly technical, Hannah Wells was not dismissed. In the conclusion, Aaron Shore and Hannah Wells were in a pub when Hannah Wells pulled out her White House ID and FBI badge and placed them next to him, explaining that she couldn't accomplish what she needed to while working for the White House.
