Harmony Kendall is a character in Buffy the Vampire Slayer and the spinoff Angel. She is a member of Cordelia Chase' clique of popular mean girls before she is turned into a vampire and becomes an enemy of Buffy Summers.
Biography[]
Harmony assisted Cordelia in bullying Buffy, Willow Rosenberg, and Xander Harris. When Cordelia started dating Xander, who was considered uncool, Harmony exploited this to take her position as leader of the group. During Graduation Day, Harmony fought against Mayor Wilkins' ascension and was turned into a vampire.
Harmony later got into a relationship with Spike and they fought Buffy together several times though he generally treated her abusively. Harmony later went to LA and tried to mend fenced with Cordelia despite Angel and Wesley's distrust which was proven justified when she betrayed them.
Harmony eventually ended up at Wolfram and Hart as Angel's secretary, doing her best to please her boss despite his dismissiveness towards her. During this time, Harmony reunited with Spike who had reformed but still mistreated her.
The fact Harmony was "technically evil" made her something of an asset to the team, such as when Angel didn't want to torture Eve, but gave Harmony permission to do so though Harmony just ended up having to hit her a few times. Harmony showed empathy to Wesley for Fred Burkle's death and helped Lorne to protect Eve from Marcus Hamilton.
Harmony ultimately betrayed Angel's team to Hamilton who she was having a sexual relationship with, Angel was unsurprised but forgiving regarding the betrayal, revealing he'd already written a letter of recommendation for her when she asked for one.
