Haruka Sakura is the main protagonist of the manga/anime action delinquent series Wind Breaker.
He is a teenager attending Furing High School as a first-year student who is also affiliated with the Vaisravana Unit within the organization known as Bofurin as the first-year Grade Captain.
As a result of Sakura's exotic look, opinions and attentions are frequently waved onto him, leading him to a develop the demeanor of a trouble-maker and thrive to the peak of power among the classmates of his school.
He is voiced by Yuma Uchida in Japanese and Austin Tindle in English.
Appearance[]
Sakura is a regular-height teenage boy with a distinctive hair color: the right side of his hair color is black and his left side is white, which matches the colors of his eyebrows and eyelashes respectively. Due to his heterochromia mutation, his left eye is a golden color and his right eye is black, like the color of his hair of the same side. He typically wears the black jacket of his high school with a white line on his upper arm, and emerald-green, and golden-colored cuffs, along silver buttons. His cloth underneath is an blank white shirt. His attires completes with a dark jeans and a pair of sneakers of black colors.
Personality[]
Haruka harbors a confident and committed demeanor to thrive to the top of the school among his fellow students. He decided to acquire a delinquent attitude and has grown bold and accustomed to facing judgment and exclusion from others due to his irregular appearance. This experience has shaped his distant attitude and rebellious image. Sakura's reserved demeanor serves as a shield against the ongoing discrimination he encounters. Additionally, he possesses firm ethical principles regarding his reasons for engaging in conflicts.
Despite his confrontational speech, he prefers solitude when not involved in physical altercations. He finds non-combative interactions unsettling and opts to resolve issues through fighting, as it aligns better with his comfort zone. Due to his encounters with disagreeable individuals, Sakura lacks familiarity with the morality and empathy displayed towards him. Despite frequently finding himself aiding others, he grapples with receiving expressions of appreciation. Alongside his social discomfort, Sakura exhibits a strong sensitivity to romantic dynamics within his social circle.
He carries a profound apprehension of forming bonds and lacks faith in anything beyond his combat skills, convinced that his entire worth hinges on them. Upon uncovering Bofurin's role in protecting the town and recognizing the importance of the delinquents in Makochi's community, Sakura gradually embraces this and has led him to regard his fellow students not as foes but as allies to get along with.
