Hayase Nagatoro (長瀞 早瀬, Nagatoro Hayase) is the titular female protagonist of the Don't Toy With Me, Miss Nagatoro manga/anime series.
She is a high school student who likes to tease and bully her Senpai, the other main character, although she secretly harbors strong feelings for him. Nagatoro is an energetic, athletic, popular and rather sadistic - but deep down very sweet - girl, often referred to as a "sadodere". She is part of a 'cool kids' clique together with her friends Gamo-chan, Yoshi and Sakura, and is a member of the swimming club, despite also having a liking for martial arts such as muay thai, boxing, capoeira and especially judo whom eventually lead her to join the judo club as well.
She has two siblings; an elder sister, Misaki and an older brother, Ichiro. Her siblings have the same aura as her.
She is voiced by Sumire Uesaka in the Japanese version of the anime, and by Kimberley Anne Campbell in the English version of the anime.
Appearance[]
Nagatoro is a very pretty, though petite, short teenage girl with little bust. She has long black hair, tanned skin and large amber-burgundy eyes.
She usually wears a school uniform consisting of a white button-down shirt and a navy blue skirt, with a pair of sneakers without socks. In addition, she is often seen in a blue and white swimsuit as she belongs to the Swimming Club.
Personality[]
Nagatoro tends to be very energetic, cheerful, sarcastic, and quick-spoken, with occasional sadism and malice. Her main occupation is verbally tormenting Senpai and teasing him at every turn, calling him a virgin or gross, although it soon turns out to be somewhat of a mask hiding her deep feelings for him. It has many of the characteristics of Tsundere. She is often very possessive of Senpai and dislikes, or even does not tolerate, flirting and bullying by her friends or anyone else. She enjoys Senpai's company very much, although she never shows it outright.
