Hayato Hayasugi is the main protagonist of Shinkalion. He is the driver and pilot of Shinkalion E5 Hayabusa, who successfully destroyed all of giant monstrous beings, and eventually befriended the agents. He has a great sense of Courage and Friendship.
He is voiced by Ayane Sakura in Japanese, who also voices Ochaco Uraraka in My Hero Academia and Kou Yaten/Sailor Star Healer in Sailor Moon Cosmos.
Appearance[]
Hayato's main outfit consist of a white t-shirt with a dark-blue vertical stripe from the large dark collar of blue sleeves, a shade of green short pants, and green sneakers with a white tongue and pink outer soles.
When piloting or driving Shinkalion E5 Hayabusa, Hayato wears a full green bodysuit with white sections and pink stripes, and a set of headphones with flowing green lines.
Personality[]
Hayato Hayasugi is an eleven-year old cheerful-hearted boy, who gets interested in trains. During the Kitoralsus invasion, Hayato has a greater sense of friendship and justice as strong and skilled pilot. He likes to ride and watch Shinkansen, and compares everything to them, even if doesn't make sense to anyone but himself. Despite his obsessive personality, he is also friendly, loyal, and just.

Hayato Hayasugi was born on October 17, 2007. He lived a happy life with his loving parents. He was aware that Isaburo Yatsushiro has gone missing into the world of Kitoralsus.

- Mech Pilot Intuition - Hayato Hayasugi has formidable skill in piloting mechs (giant robots) and are able to use the amazing arsenal at hand from either at a distance using a remote or a cockpit inside the machine. Depending on the type of robot being controlled, the weapons, abilities, and equipment varies. In some cases the robot's power may be connected to the user.
- Peak Human Intelligence - Hayato Hayasugi is more intelligent than most of their species, or at least able to use their brain more efficiently and effectively either by being naturally gifted or training themselves for the needed shortcuts. Some are able to perform feats of mind comparable to computers.
