Hayato is a quiet person, spending a large portion of his time in his bedroom, spying everything in his own house using various electronic devices. According to his mother, he lacked close friends. However upon being cornered, Hayato proved himself to be exceptionally brave, even willing to confront his "father" multiple times despite being much smaller. He is also exceptionally intelligent, capable of figuring out how his "father's" stand works despite not being a stand user himself
Biography[]
Hayato's first appearance in the part involves him spying on his "father" who had just returned, noticing various suspicious things from the man. He soon started following his "father" on his job before finally recording evidence of the man who was actually Yoshikage Kira in a disguise. Some time later while taking a bath, he was confronted by the murderer. Hayato revealed his plan to expose Kira which involved a backup in case the boy were to die. In response, the murderer used his stand to knock Hayato down before panicking as he had just killed a kid and will bring authorities to Morioh. However, Kira was suddenly stabbed by the arrow and gained a new stand ability, Bites The Dust which he uses to bring Hayato back to life.
Later after returning home, Hayato was confronted by Kira who suddenly starts boasting about his invincibility, going as far as to reveal his identity. The boy quickly left where he instead bumps into Rohan Kishibe. The mangaka proceeded to knock Hayato out before reading his memories. This triggered Bites the Dust which kills Rohan and initiates a time loop which Hayato was unfortunately forced to witness.
During his first loop, he managed to avoid Rohan, only to see him die anyway. To make matters worse, he stumbled across Josuke and his team. The boy tried to kill himself to protect them, only to activate Bites the Dust again which kills Josuke and his team. After waking up to his third loop, Hayato became much more determined to defeat Kira, grabbing Stray Cat in the process. Later in the street where Kira was supposed to taunt him, he released the stand which shot an air bubble at the murderer. Unfortunately, Kira's chest was protected by a watch and he survived the air bubble.
Kira proceeds to gloat while abusing Hayato, in public of all places. Fortunately, Hayato has set up a backup plan which involved him waking up Josuke with a phone call. Because of this, the teenager and Okuyasu was walking down the street while Kira was gloating and revealing his name. After Okuyasu was blown up by an explosive air bubble, Hayato decided to check himself if anything around him was explosive. His suspicions were confirmed when the fence Okuyasu was knocked into turned out to be an explosive. Josuke quickly restored his body before he could explode and the two ran away, bringing Okuyasu with them.
They later end up in a house where they had to avoid the explosive air bubbles Kira was sending at them. Josuke however figures out that he was being followed and grabbed a photo containing Kira's father from Hayato's jacket. Josuke tricked Kira into killing his own father before taking him on. Hayato later witnessed as the teenager was unfortunately wounded in the fight and came close to dying as an explosive air bubble approached him, until Okuyasu used his stand to erase the air bubble and rip Stray Cat out of Killer Queen. Hayato himself got to witness as Kira gets pummeled before being run over by an ambulance. His mother later arrived to pick him up, hoping that her husband will return. Hayato however knew what had happened and decided not to tell her yet.
