Hector Jötunheim is a supporting character in The Amazing World of Gumball. Ironically, he is the son of the much smaller Mrs. Jötunheim.
He is voiced by Kerry Shale.
Appearance[]
Hector is a gorilla-like giant with purple skin and shaggy fur all across his body. His fur is a gradient color yellow, purple, orange, and pink. His hands, feet, and buttocks are bare, and his buttocks are colored a pale blue. His face is usually covered by his fur, but it is revealed in "The Butterfly" to have ape-like features. Hector's size is inconsistent throughout the episodes.
Personality[]
Hector is a soft-spoken and kind individual, much like the "gentle giant" trope. However, due to his stature, he often unintentionally hurts or damages things. He is considered "boring" by his classmates, but the reason he never does anything exciting is that he is forbidden to do so by his mother to keep him calm. This is because when he experiences strong emotions, he goes on a rampage and starts destroying the town.
Despite being a giant, he routinely wishes he was small so that he could participate in society like everyone else. However, when he achieves this in "The Potion," he becomes depressed, as becoming small has made him lose his identity.
