Heiter is a major supporting character from the manga and anime series, Frieren: Beyond Journey's End. He is a member of Frieren’s adventurer party, the Hero Party and a priest. After the end of he and his friends’ journey, he came back to the Holy City, where he used to work and started working as a bishop. A few years of his lifespan is left as he comes across an orphan girl, Fern to be taken under his care before being given to Frieren who came 20 years later and is tasked to have Fern as a new member of her party and as a successor.
He is voiced by Hiroki Tōchi in Japanese and by Jason Douglas in English.

Heiter is an tall average-looking middle-aged man with lime green short hair with two locks at the front of both side. He wears a pair of rectangular-shaped glasses and a priest black and yellow outfit.

Referred to as the “Corrupt Priest”, Heiter spends his time drinking beer and alcohol, and is known for this habit. In a flashback as mentioned by Himmel, Heiter looked very sick and is always in this state once a week as told by Eisen. On a personal level, Heiter was known for being quite jovial and upbeat, to the extent he was good at diffusing more tense situations among others with his sense of humor, as well as being openly emotive and even moved to tears. Privately, he was actually more cynical than he usually projected, not being confident about his and his party's chances of defeating the Demon King. Despite this, he still opted to have faith in Himmel and their other comrades even if he couldn't have it in himself.
50 years later, as Heiter reunites with the rest of the Hero Party, he happily remarks how Frieren has not changed a bit as he pats her head. At Himmel’s funeral, when the human sees Frieren not showing any sadness, Heiter, in order to defend Frieren, tells them that he is not sad either alongside Eisen as he laughs. Heiter does also seem to sometimes treat Frieren as a child such as when he pats her head to comfort her like the aforementioned instant
