Nominations for articles to be featured on the front page.

Guidelines

  • Nominations must be at the very least 350 words long.
  • An article is featured every month, or at the admins' discretion.
  • Whichever article has the most votes at the end of the month is featured for a month.
    • Each downvote counts as a point down for the nominee.
    • In case of a tie, the one with fewer downvotes wins.
  • Admin votes carry the same weight as regular users' votes.
  • All nominations and votes must be signed with four tildes (~~~~). Unsigned nominations and votes will be nullified.
  • Nominations and votes CANNOT BE CHANGED. Each user can only vote ONCE, for and against.
  • An article cannot be nominated twice in a row (if an article was nominated in the previous voting, it cannot be nominated again in the current one).
  • Users cannot nominate articles two months in a row.
  • Only five nominations max for every monthly voting are allowed. Any nomination surpassing this limit will be automatically disqualified.
  • CHEATING WILL NEVER BE TOLERATED. Any user who starts downvoting candidates just to rig the results or go asking other users to vote on his candidate will receive a warning and, in case of reincidence, a one month ban. No exceptions.
  • The use of sockpuppets in HFH is extremely forbidden, resulting in the permanent ban of the sockpuppet's account(s) and in the deletion of your nominated hero.
  • Once the vote was posted, there is no turning back to edit the description of your vote. If you voted against a candidate for a trivial reason and had your vote discarded by an admin, it will be forbidden to go back and edit the reason of your vote to make your denied vote valid again. Doing so will result in a week ban, NO exceptions.
  • There is a limit for how many times a hero can be nominated in a period of time. If a candidate is downvoted but still being brought to HFH more than once in the following months, the limit is 3 attempts. If a hero is downvoted 3 times, the hero can not be proposed again until 12 months has passed after the last proposal. Bringing the hero back before then is a violation of this rule and the candidate will be erased from the nominations. For this limit to reset, the hero must not be proposed for 12 months after the last proposal.

Suggestions

  • Be original and creative with the nominations.
  • Don't vote against a hero if you haven't read the article about it yet.
  • Don't vote against a hero just because you know nothing about him/her/it.
  • Don't say anything that may be offensive to another.
  • If you're going to vote against, present an actual argument for your reasoning. "He's/She’s boring", He’s/She’s Overrated" or "I don't like him/her" aren't arguments.

The correct nomination format is as follows:

  • With the Demon Slayer movie has been rocking the box office and due for a US theatrical release, it would be cool to celebrate the main protagonist of Demon Slayer: Kinetsu no Yaiba, Tanjiro Kamado. Along with slaying deadly demons, Tanjiro is a caring older brother, as he goes on his quest to restore his sister Nezuko, and also puts others before himself, as he helps out those who are caught in danger from the demons that Tanjiro must face. Protecting those who are weaker is what Tanjiro does, and is a trait of heroes. So, with that in mind, Tanjiro as this month’s hero for headline would be cutting edge!
  • Originally I had plans for an anime heroine headlined for February next year, but sometimes I have to sacrifice my timings. So with honesty, Tanjiro has always been put through a lot, but if you think he is not that tragic like Edward Elric or Guts, he has a driving motive to continue moving forward and put his past behind him to become stronger to protect the only one he loved and who he has left. This is what makes Tanjiro a great character.
  • Personally, I really had praised Anime a lot, like Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, My Hero Academia, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure and other things according to what anime I love. The Story of Tanjiro in the past was tragedy, because his story was like, his family were killed and a demon, who had turned Nezuko into a Demon which was led him to avenge the death of his family, like Son Goku (AKA Kakarot), whose parents, Bardock and Gine were killed during the destruction of Planet Vegeta, Kotaro Minami, whose parents were killed during the apparent accident when he was 3 years old, and Bell Cranel, because his grandfather is killed. Aftermath the tragic story of Tanjiro, his bravery and the kindness was the winner due to the good pure things he had ever did in his life, like Nezuko does.

  • I like to see one of the popular Dreamworks characters to be headlined, his popularity is rather far and wide too.

  • Justice for Johnny Depp! One of Johnny's greatest roles in his career, Jack Sparrow is a character that brings life to the POTC franchise and was one of the best aspects of the movies.
