Nominations for articles to be featured on the front page.

Guidelines[]

  • Users need to have at least 100 or more edits in order to participate in HFH.
  • Nominations must be at the very least 350 words long.
  • Whichever article has the most votes at the end of the month is featured for a month.
    • Each downvote counts as a point down for the nominee.
    • In case of a tie, the one with fewer downvotes wins.
  • Admin votes carry the same weight as regular users' votes.
  • All nominations and votes must be signed with four tildes (~~~~). Unsigned nominations and votes will be nullified.
  • Nominations and votes CANNOT BE CHANGED. Each user can only vote ONCE, for and against.
  • An article cannot be nominated twice in a row (if an article was nominated in the previous voting, it cannot be nominated again in the current one).
  • Users cannot nominate articles two months in a row.
  • Only six nominations max for every monthly voting are allowed. Any nomination surpassing this limit will be automatically disqualified.
  • No cheating. Any user who downvotes candidates just to rig the results will receive a warning and have its downvote nullified.
  • Sockpuppet votes are automatically disqualified.
  • Once a vote is posted, there is no turning back to edit the description of your vote. If you voted against a candidate for a trivial reason and had your vote discarded by an admin, it will be forbidden to go back and edit the reason of your vote to make your denied vote valid again. Doing so will result in a warning, no exceptions.
  • There is a limit for how many times a hero can be nominated in a period of time. If a candidate is downvoted but still being brought to HFH more than once in the following months, the limit is 3 attempts. If a hero is downvoted 3 times, the hero cannot be proposed again until 12 months have passed after the last proposal. Bringing the hero back before then is a violation of this rule and the candidate will be erased from the nominations. For this limit to reset, the hero must not be proposed for 12 months after the last proposal.

Suggestions[]

  • Be original and creative with the nominations.
  • Don't vote against a hero if you haven't read the article about it yet.
  • Don't vote against a hero just because you know nothing about him/her/it.
  • Don't say anything that may be offensive to another.
  • If you're going to vote against, present an actual argument for your reasoning. "He's boring" or "I don't like him" aren't arguments.

The correct nomination format is as follows:

Agumon (Adventure)[]

  • Just like Pokémon before it, Digimon was iconic anime franchise from our childhood, and Agumon, the franchise mascot, from the original Digimon Adventure series would be a good choice for headline.

Niko Bellic[]

  • Since he is one of the most incredible Grand Theft Auto protagonists and a protagonist in Grand Theft Auto IV, I feel like Niko deserves a spot for the headline, just like Carl Johnson from Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. After all, he is a very sympathetic and a tragic criminal who cares for his cousin, Roman Bellic, his kindness revolving around other people and stopping Dimitri Rascalov.

Red (Angry Birds)[]

  • Angry birds is celebrating its 15th anniversary this December, therefore i have decided to promote the franchise’s most famous character and one of the most iconic video game characters in recent memory, the main protagonist Red, the courageous but short tempered leader who discovered the last three eggs and became hellbent on protecting them from their pigs to an obsessive degree, he has protected his species multiple times like when they were ambushed by pigs from the sky and He respects the individuality of every bird despite his overprotective nature, believe the mainstream version of red is a solid pick for headline due to how iconic angry birds was at its peak, with this fella appearing all across pop culture back in the early 2010s.

Tintin[]

  • A year is almost over, and next year the work of The Adventures of Tintin will pass into the public domain, I think the protagonist is the perfect candidate to head next month, he has been one of the most emblematic characters in comics since his debut, having countless adventures with his dog Snowly, Captain Haddock, Professor Calmus and the brothers Thomson and Thompson, and investigating great mysteries, facing numerous villains and having adaptations such as television series and a movie, without a doubt Tintin is a hero for many children who grew up with his work.
