Nominations for articles to be featured on the front page.

Guidelines[]

  • Users need to have at least 100 or more edits in order to participate in HFH.
  • Nominations must be at the very least 350 words long.
  • Whichever article has the most votes at the end of the month is featured for a month.
    • Each downvote counts as a point down for the nominee.
    • In case of a tie, the one with fewer downvotes wins.
  • Admin votes carry the same weight as regular users' votes.
  • All nominations and votes must be signed with four tildes (~~~~). Unsigned nominations and votes will be nullified.
  • Nominations and votes CANNOT BE CHANGED. Each user can only vote ONCE, for and against.
  • An article cannot be nominated twice in a row (if an article was nominated in the previous voting, it cannot be nominated again in the current one).
  • Users cannot nominate articles two months in a row.
  • Only six nominations max for every monthly voting are allowed. Any nomination surpassing this limit will be automatically disqualified.
  • No cheating. Any user who downvotes candidates just to rig the results will receive a warning and have its downvote nullified.
  • Sockpuppet votes are automatically disqualified.
  • Once a vote is posted, there is no turning back to edit the description of your vote. If you voted against a candidate for a trivial reason and had your vote discarded by an admin, it will be forbidden to go back and edit the reason of your vote to make your denied vote valid again. Doing so will result in a warning, no exceptions.
  • There is a limit for how many times a hero can be nominated in a period of time. If a candidate is downvoted but still being brought to HFH more than once in the following months, the limit is 3 attempts. If a hero is downvoted 3 times, the hero cannot be proposed again until 12 months have passed after the last proposal. Bringing the hero back before then is a violation of this rule and the candidate will be erased from the nominations. For this limit to reset, the hero must not be proposed for 12 months after the last proposal.

Suggestions[]

  • Be original and creative with the nominations.
  • Don't vote against a hero if you haven't read the article about it yet.
  • Don't vote against a hero just because you know nothing about him/her/it.
  • Don't say anything that may be offensive to another.
  • If you're going to vote against, present an actual argument for your reasoning. "He's boring" or "I don't like him" aren't arguments.

The correct nomination format is as follows:

Toothless (DreamWorks)[]

  • Ok I nominate Toothless because there is going to be a How to Train Your Dragon 2025 live-action remake coming out on June and I decided since it’s Dreamworks Animations first ever live-action/remake film and I want to say on March was its 15th anniversary Toothless is one of my favorite Dreamworks Heroes and who is Pure Good. So I’ll leave it up to people who are discussing the choice.
  • Honestly, I think Toothless is a good choice, as his upcoming live-action adaptation comes out next month, it seems like a great opportunity for a Dreamworks character to headline the site.
  • I think Toothless should be headlined not only for the upcoming remake but for him being loyal and brave.

Doom Slayer[]

  • With a new DOOM game coming out this month, I figured now would be a perfect time to nominate Doom Slayer for the next Hero for Headline. Not only is he getting a new game, but he's one of the most iconic video game characters of all time, paving the way for other first person shooters that came after him. He even showed up in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate as a Mii Fighter, thus proving how popular and influential he is. He's extremely brutal and lethal when dealing with those demons from hell, but still fights to protect humanity. Due to him being both awe inspiring and terrifying, this makes him stand out even more (in a positive way) and also makes him a unique but fitting contender for HFH.
  • I love the idea of Doomslayer being this month’s HH. He’s brutal, iconic, and has fought an army of demons before, all over his pet rabbit. This man is a legend.

Ice Climbers[]

  • It's the 40th anniversary of the Ice Climber franchise, and I think we should celebrate it by headlining the Ice Climbers on the front page. Plus, the Ice Climbers have represented the NES/Famicom in the Smash Bros. series since their inclusion in Super Smash Bros. Melee. In addition, their game series won out over the other NES game series to include the Ice Climbers as playable characters for Smash Bros. Melee. I'll leave it up you all to make your decisions.
