CT-782, nicknamed Hevy, was a soldier of the Domino Squad in the Star Wars series, alongisde Fives and Echo, as well as Droidbait and Cutup. He sacrificed his life to take down a military base.
He was voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, who also voices all the other clone troopers in Star Wars animated media.
History[]
Just like all other clone troopers, Hevy was born on the planet Kamino from the DNA of Jango Fett. He served in the Republic's Domino squad alongside Fives, Echo, Droidbait and Cutup from the time they were just cadets. Due to his heavy weapons expertise, he was nicknamed "Hevy".
Training[]
In their Citadal Test on the capital of Kamino, Domino Squad saw little to no success in their final simulation exam. They were outcasted as failures, and their integrity was questioned under the hypothesis that there had been complications in Lama Su's cloning process. Overseered by Jedi Master Shaak Ti, she allowed them to retake the test the next day, while their trainer Bric remained pessimistic about them, exiling them and calling them failures. Due to the amount of stress, Hevy packed up to desert the Kamino capital, but the malformed maintanence clone named 99 convinced him to stay. Off-screen, Bric sabotaged their utility belts to remove the ascension cables, necessary to climb the citadel. Against all odds, Domino Squad passed nonetheless, and they were inducted as Clone Troopers. Hevy later thanked 99.
Assault[]
Rookie clones had been stationed at Rishi Station due to the relentless demands of battle, despite not being as experienced. A Commando Droid invasion would insue, and the advanced BX-series units would easily infiltrate the station, killing Sergeant O'Niner. In Domino's escape, Cutup would be eaten by a giant eel. Commander Cody and Captain Rex arrive to help the rookies stop the invasion. Under their guidance, they defeated the Commando Droids, and normal Battle Droids were sent as reinforcements. The only way they could warn the Republic is if they blew up the base.
Due to the liquid tibanna (a fictional gas in Star Wars) bomb not being able to remotely detonate, Hevy had to do so manually. He charged as a heep of lasers exterminated enemy droids. When Hevy ran out of ammunition, he was incapacitated, but it was right at his destination-- the bomb. Hevy manually detonated the bomb, blowing up the entire base as well as himself. Hevy's sacrifice allowed the Republic to identify a plot to invade Kamino, and the Separatists' tactic was thwarted. Survivors were also able to be saved. His name was not forgotten by his fellow comrades.
