Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III is the main protagonist of the book series, How to Train Your Dragon.
Biography[]
Background[]
Hiccup Horrendous Haddock III was born on the 29th of Feburary, 10.5 years before the start of the series to the Hooligan Chief Stoick the Vast and the famed warrior Valhallarama. Despite being the son of the Chief, Hiccup was infamous for his wimpiness and aversion to typical Viking activities, causing him to be ridiculed by many. This, combined with the fact he was supposed to be heir before Hiccup's birth, caused Hiccup to earn his cousin Snotlout's jealousy, causing him and his friends to constantly bully him over the years.
How to Train Your Dragon[]
Hiccup was tasked alongside other boys to find a hunting dragon in the caves. Hiccup found a small dragon and named it Toothless. He trained it for the final test. All the boys failed the test because of Toothless. Two gigantic dragons got washed ashore. The boys planned to make them fight each other by using feather bombs. It succeeded, but one of the dragons ate Hiccup, but Toothless rescued him.
How to Be a Pirate[]
As the tribe is being told by Alvin the Poor But Honest Farmer that the founder of the treasure will be the heir of Grimbeard the Ghastly, they went to the island. In the island, Snotlout founded the treasure. Alvin later revealed that he is actually Alvin the Treacherous. As Hiccup, Alvin, Toothless and Fishlegs are on the boat headed to Berk, Their boat sunk and they went in the cave. Toothless found the actual treasure, so it was Hiccup who is the heir.
How to Speak Dragonese[]
Hiccup and Fishlegs were captured to the Roman Empire. Alvin was in the plan all along. In the prison cell, they met Camicazi. During the execution in the colosseum, where it flooded with and got Sharkworm Dragons, the nano dragons lifted Hiccup, which made him appeared flying. After that, they escaped on a hot air balloon.
How to Cheat a Dragon's Curse[]
Fishlegs is sick with Vorpentitis and the only cure is the potato. Hiccup and Camicazi will steal the potato from the Histeric tribe. They did it, but the Doomfang Dragon ate it and got cured from the same disease. As they went home, it turned out that it was Hiccup who had the disease, not Fishlegs. Fishlegs shot the arrow that was once on a potato. It landed on Hiccup's toe and it cured him.
How to Twist a Dragon's Tale[]
Some Exterminator Dragons hatched, so the goal is to put the fire-stone in the volcano. Hiccup, Fishlegs, Humongous and Camicazi went to that island. Hiccup told Toothless to drop the stone to the volcano. he did it and it hatched into a gigantic Fire-Dragon and it ate all eExterminators.
A Hero's Guide to Deadly Dragons[]
Toothless burned the How to Train Your Dragon book, so Hiccup and his friends will steal another one. they went to the library and stole it.
How to Ride a Dragon's Storm[]
There is a swimming contest and the last one is the winner, since it is very cold. During the contest, Norbert kidnapped Hiccup and his friends. Hiccup freed the slaves. Days later, there is a dragon attack, so Hiccup and Norbert went up the mast. Hiccup jumped to the water. The lightning striked Norbert and it also affected the dragon. Thye slaved saved Hiccup and his friends and brought them back to Berk with a handglider.

Hiccup and Fishlegs went to Berserker Island. When Hiccup was being bed to the beast, he noticed that it is Furious, so he freed him, but Furious started the war.

In the swordfighting school, Hiccup was hinted to be the king. He was tasked to find the crown, which is one of the king's things. He did found it and the small old dragon, Wodensfang. In the swordfighting, Hiccup won and the winner will be the king. It got revealed that Hiccup has a Slavemark, so he can't be the king and Alvin will be one.

Hiccup enter the amber slavelands. When he was finding a jewel, he got pulled by a dragon under a sand. he killed it. He founded the jewel, which is the most important king's thing.

Hiccup will retrieve all his king's things back, so he went in Alvin's lair and got everything as he escapes on a boat. Alvin got all the things. Hiccup got washed up on an island.
How to Fight a Dragon's Fury[]
Hiccup went to the Island of Tomorrow and it is proven that hiccup is the king, not Alvin. Hiccup got crowned. It is now his time to face Furious. Furious redeemed himself after Alvin died and sacrificed himself by using his own body to block Hiccup.
