Hikaru Hoshina is a minor character in HUGtto! Pretty Cure! and the main protagonist of Star☆Twinkle Pretty Cure. She is the group leader and a second-year student of at Mihoshi Middle School.

Hikaru is a curious and imaginative second-year student who loves space and constellations. She is stubborn and likes to investigate anything that interests her, acting on her intuition. She is ecstatic when she finds certain activities intriguing, but sometimes her enthusiasm can cause her to be disrespectful to others. She is caring and supportive of her friends. She sometimes has moments of deep reflection whenever she's upset. Her childhood friend, Ryoutarou Sorami, used to be selfish and would only spend time with her if he thought what they did was fun, but now Hikaru is happy to see him change for the better.
