| “ | I don't understand why anyone would want to risk their life for someone else. When you die, no matter how you died, it's over. To me, it's more important to enjoy life. We only live once, after all. It's a waste to spend all your time working and being responsible, right? | „ |

| “ | I'm still a delicate flower you know! | „ |
| ~ Hilda's most famous quote. |
Hilda Valentine Goneril is a major character within the Fódlan Saga of Nintendo's Fire Emblem franchise.
She is the tritagonist of the Verdant Wind route in Fire Emblem: Three Houses and one of the two tritagonists (alongside Lorenz Hellman Gloucester) of the Golden Wildfire route in Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes.
Hilda is a member of the Goneril Family, a noble family in the Leicester Alliance, the younger sister of Holst Sigiswald Gonerill, and a member of the Golden Deer House, being Claude von Riegan's loyal retainer and friend. She is noted for her easy-going personality, but tends to be quite lazy in her assignments and often makes excuses.
She is voiced by Salli Saffioti in English and Yuki Kuwahara in Japanese.
Appearance[]
Hilda is a pink-haired girl with two pigtails and pink eyes. In her appearance in the part I, she is an 18-year-old girl who wears a black and white dress with a brown belt, she also wears dark blue boots with dark blue stockings.
In the post-time skip, she has her pink hair done into a waterfall style. She wears a black and pink dress, earrings, red gloves, and long black boots.
Personality[]
Hilda is very lazy, which is due to her being the only daughter of a noble and being spoiled as a result. She hates working, and will try to get others to do her work for her. She does this by drawing attention to herself and letting others do the work for her on their own volition. Despite this laziness, she is extremely charismatic and helpful if she puts in effort, and she is incredibly friendly towards many people, especially to her best friends, Claude and Marianne.
Despite how she might initially come off, she is actually very intelligent and perceptive. She is one of the only characters to realize that something was off with the Hero's Relics. She also was one of the only people to question why Monica was so happy after being imprisoned for a year. She is extremely loyal to Claude, refusing to join Edelgard when she betrays the Church. She is also in awe of her older brother Holst, who is one of the strongest generals in the Alliance.
She loves making handicraft accessories, not doing work, music, cute animals and fashion. She dislikes chores and doing hard work.
Biography[]
Hilda was the youngest daughter of House Goneril. Her older brother Holst became the head and heir of the family, and is one of the strongest generals in Fodlan. If the Azure Moon route is chosen and Hilda is recruited, she returns to the monastery after the time-skip. If she is not recruited, then she is seen in the Battle at Grondor Field alongside the other Golden Deer members. She will retreat upon being defeated in the ensuing battle and will later reappear as an ally unit defending the Alliance capital of Derdriu from invasion Adrestian forces. She can potentially be killed during the battle, resulting in Claude mourning her. If Hilda survives, she is not seen again following the dissolution of the Alliance.
If the Silver Snow route is chosen, Hilda can only be recruited in chapter 13. If she is, she returns to the monastery after the time-skip. If not, she doesn't appear again in this route.
