Himawari Nohara (野原ひまわり, Nohara Himawari?) is a major character in Crayon Shin Chan. She is the younger sister of Shinosuke Nohara and the younger daughter of Hiroshi Nohara and Misae Nohara.
She is voiced by Satomi Koorogi in Japanese, late Russi Taylor in the Vitello dub (who also voiced Huey, Dewey, and Louie), and Colleen Clinkenbeard in the Funimation dub.
Appearance[]
Himawari is a baby with light skin and short, curly orange hair. She wears a yellow sleeper with a white bib.
As an adult she is a tall woman and has longer hair. She wears a yellow biker jacket with black lines, pants with inverted colors, green gloves and boots and a white scarf.
In the Movie 20, as the princess of the Sunflower People, she wears a princess dress that is a variant of her casual sleeper but longer, with different ruffles and purple pearls, ber bib is a longer collar and wears a tiara.
Personality[]
Himawari is a typical baby who is still learning to speak and likes to play with toys. She is very mischievous and likes to mess up the house to get fun, to her mother's chagrin. Personally she likes jewelry and valuables, So she always wants to have more and it is not unusual for her to try to take them away from her mother and hide them so that she does not find them. Like many other girls of the show, Himawari is attracted to young boys and this leads her to compete with other girls like Nené.
Himawari also likes to copy the bad behavior of her older brother, something that Misae also dislikes, and when she thinks she is receiving a compliment blushes as she looks to the side. Despite all this Himawari is still more spoiled that her brother and she usually wants to blame him for her mischief. Something that usually generates conflict between both. Despite this, Himawari still cares for her family and spends lot of time with her brother.
As an adult, Himawari is a secret police agent and helps the group to arrest Masuzo Kaneari. Despite showing to be a more selfless person she is notably neglectful with her family, since Misae points out that she does not visit them very often. She also maintains her habit of blushing with compliments.
