Himeko Momokino is a supporting character from the yuri manga Citrus and its 2018 anime adaptation.
She was voiced by Yurika Hubo in Japanese and Bryn Apprill in the English dub.
Personality[]
Momokino is a stern, strict individual who immediately finds herself at odds with characters like Yuzu or Harumi because of how they aren't completely in tune with the standards of the academy. Momokino was also known for her infatuation with Mei which had developed over the many years they had known for each other. While she had made a declaration of protecting Mei from anymore hurt that was caused by her father leaving home, Momokino had become possessive of Mei and even sexually assaults her in the student council room solely so she could have some ownership over her. Despite her selfish motivations, Momnokino deeply cares for Mei and is willing - but reluctantly so - to allow Yuzu to date her. With Yuzu, despite her earlier disliking of her, she had grown to care for her, one instance being where she is genuinely surprised at how high one of her scores were on a test.

Momokino served as Mei's right hand as the Vice President of the Student Council. Momokino had known Mei for years, having been childhood friends with her. When her father left home one day, Momokino swore that she would protect Mei at any cost. This dedication for Mei gradually turned into her falling in love with her. When Yuzu first arrives to the Aihara Academy, Momokino takes a slight disliking for her since she was rebelling against the standards for the school. She would immediately become a recurring rival for Mei's affection when Momokino began to become suspicious of Yuzu's relationship with Mei at the time being unaware that they had become stepsisters. Jealousy arose in the young woman, and Momokino sexually assaults Mei as a means of asserting some sort of ownership of her. However, she had lied to Yuzu about "going further with Mei" so that Yuzu would be dissuaded from pursuing Mei. This initially causes some bad blood to develop between her and Mei who chastises Momokino heavily for her behavior. Yuzu and Momokino eventually bury the hatchet between each other when Mei fell ill, and Momokino volunteered to take her place for an important meeting. Upon becoming better, Mei is coerced into apologizing to Momokino by Yuzu.
At some point in the manga, Momokino catches onto the two stepsisters secretly dating. While she wasn't completely fine with the notion, she personally gave Yuzu her blessing, albeit threatens to break her face if she made Mei upset to which Yuzu happily agrees.
