Himeno is a supporting character in Chainsaw Man Part 1: The Public Safety Saga. She's Aki's former Devil Hunter partner who has a crush on him and is part of the 4th Special Division of the Public Safety Devil Hunters. She has a contract with the Ghost Devil.
She was voiced by Mariya Ise in Japanese and Katelyn Barr in English.
Himeno is a fair-skinned adult woman of average height with short, shoulder-length black hair and an eyepatch covering her right eye, which was given to the Ghost Devil as a part of her contract with him.
She's usually seen wearing the standard Devil Hunter uniform, which consists of a black suit and tie over a white-collar shirt.
Personality[]
Himeno generally shows herself as a kind and laid-back girl with a carefree attitude, in contrast to Aki Hayakawa's cold personality. She usually likes to joke around and mess with her partners, even during missions. However, she's also shown to be caring and protective of her own peers, especially her former partner and friend Aki, who she constantly calls out on his reckless behavior. Himeno is also very self-sacrificing and will usually put the lives of others over her own self.
Himeno has an affinity for drinking and smoking as she's usually seen smoking cigarettes as form of a stress-reliever and was also the reason why Aki started smoking in the first place. Whenever Himeno gets drunk, she gets more cheerful and flirtatious, oftentimes making a fool of herself in front of everybody. Himeno is also shown to be quite promiscuous as she will casually flirt with her co-workers, shown when she promised Denji a French kiss if he killed the Eternity Devil. She also constantly flirts with Aki, whom she has a crush on and often drops not-so-subtle hints about her feelings for him.
She seems to have loose or no morals in certain aspects, and no shame in regards to sexual matters, albeit falling shy when faced with the notion of seducing Aki. When drunk, her morals vanish, as she nearly engaged in intercourse with Denji; she is an adult and a coworker, thus is doubly unethical. Fortunately, she was so drunk she passed out before penetration; the next morning, she couldn't remember the previous night, and was disturbed at the idea that she slept with a minor, though mostly due to possible criminal consequences, rather than her actually believing it was wrong.

Trivia[]
The first anime trailer showcased a scene not present in the manga in which Himeno and Aki Hayakawa are both naked in bed, sharing a cigarette. It's unknown whether this will be an extra scene added in the anime, which confirms that the two were having casual sex behind the scenes, or if it's just a animation test reel, much like the other scenes in the trailer were.
