Hina Amano is the deuteragonist of the 2019 anime film Weathering with You. She is a teenager with the ability to convert their life force into the ability to control the weather according to their wishes, after praying at the Yoyogi Kaikan for good weather to walk with her dying mother one last time.
She was voiced by Nana Mori in Japanese and Ashley Boettcher in English.
Appearance[]
Hina is a teenage girl with fair skin and large light blue eyes. She has straight, long blue-black hair tied into two low twintails with black hair ties laid on her shoulders. She has long bangs and two locks of hair framing her face. She usually wears a white-grey hoodie over either a pink sleeveless dress with black lace trim or a pink tank top with blue shorts.
Personality[]
Hina Amano is a kind and selfless girl who does all she can to take care of her brother and even Hodaka Morishima even before becoming 15. When she first met Hodaka, she was kind to him and gave him a free burger at the MC where she worked part-time; later on, he saved her from the Mafia, with her questioning his use of lethality as she had seen he was quick to discharge a gun at them. She only wanted to be a Sunshine Girl to make others happy and to ensure peoples' lives and rites can go smoothly. In the end, she's going to sacrifice herself to let others live a peaceful life, but she's rescued by Hodaka.
